Itinerary

Day 1: Hotel Stay - New Orleans, LA
Guests will enjoy a one-night luxury hotel stay at either The Westin New Orleans Canal Place or Hilton New Orleans Riverside before boarding the American Queen Steamboat the following evening.

Day 2: Embark - New Orleans, LA
Explore the vibrant offerings of New Orleans and take in the sights and sounds of the city. In the afternoon, guests will board the American Queen Steamboat to being the voyage and kick off the festivities with a Welcome Aboard Dinner.

Day 3: Scenic River Cruising
Relax and take in the view of the river or join in a variety of onboard activities while the American Queen glides through beautiful American landscape.

Day 4: Natchez, MS
Affording authentic antebellum charm, Natchez boasts numerous restored mansions, the historic Jefferson College, and the quaint Natchez Trace. Before drinking in the beauty of the grand plantations, including Stanton Hall, Magnolia Hall, Rosalie Mansion, and William Johnson House, guests are encouraged to stop at the Natchez Visitor Center to peruse the gift shop or view exhibits and films illustrating the rich heritage of the town. Also included on the tour is a stop at the Eola Hotel for shopping and a special visit to Twin Oaks, the antebellum mansion of Regina Charboneau, the Chef de Cuisine of the American Queen Steamboat.

Day 5: Vicksburg, MS
Coined the "Red Carpet of the South," Vicksburg is a diverse town blending its historic Southern setting with exciting modern attractions. Guests will tour through the shopping district and stop at The Church of the Holy Trinity, Southern Cultural Heritage Center, Pemberton's Headquarters, and the Old Courthouse Museum before returning to the downtown area. Back downtown, guests will have the chance for more shopping on Washington Street or discover other enchanting museums, including the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum, Yesterday’s Children Antique Doll and Toy Museum, the Old Depot Museum, and Lower Mississippi River Museum.

Day 6: River Cruising
Originating in Lake Itasca, the Great Waters of the majestic Mississippi river system afford a beautiful backdrop for onboard activities and relaxing on this day of river cruising.

Day 7: Helena, AR
A soulful town filled with beautiful gospel voices and hearty cuisine, Helena is filled with historic treasures. Aboard the deluxe steamcoach, guests will being their tour of the city at the Cherry Street Historic District where they will discover the Malco Theater and amazing boutiques, including the Delta Gypsy Caravan, the Handworks Boutique, the Cotton and Kudzu Mall, and the Gist Music Company for rare collectibles. At the historic downtown of Helena, the tour offers stops at two museum sites, Bubba's Blues Corner, Biscuit Row, and the Pillow Thompson House. Civil War buffs will enjoy visits to the Helena Museum, Moore-Hornor House, and Fort Curtis.

Day 8: Disembark - Memphis, TN
After breakfast, the American Queen Steamboat will dock in Memphis where guests can continue their way home or explore the sights of this exciting Tennessee town.
