The Heathman Hotel Honors State’s Wine Heritage With ‘Taste Of Oregon Wine’ Package

PORTLAND, Ore. (June 13, 2014) – In a salute to the Oregon wine industry, The Heathman Hotel in Portland, Ore., is offering a Taste of Oregon Wine package. Timed to coincide with Clink! A Taste of Oregon Wine, a new exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society, the package offers guests an opportunity to immerse themselves in the journey of the state’s wine industry, from its roots in rambling vineyards to its modern-day urban offshoots.

A neighbor of The Heathman in Portland’s Cultural District, the Oregon Historical Society educates, informs and engages the public through collecting, preserving and interpreting the past. Clink! tells the stories of some of the individuals and institutions who propelled Oregon wine onto the national and international stage.

“With its world-class reputation, Oregon wine is a natural favorite at The Heathman Hotel,” said Chris Erickson, general manager of the hotel, “The latest exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society is a wonderful opportunity to educate our guests about the evolution of the wine they’ve grown to enjoy and share the rich culture of our winemaking community.”
