Day 1: Hotel Stay - St. Louis, MO
Enjoy a one-night luxury hotel stay in St. Louis before boarding the American Queen Steamboat the following evening.

Day 2: Embark - St. Louis, MO
Enjoy freetime in St. Louis before boarding the American Queen Steamboat. Spend the day exploring the town, perhaps with a visit to the Gateway Arch. A Welcome Aboard Dinner will begin the journey with a festive start.

Day 3: Chester, IL
Known as a founder of Chester, Samuel Smith built the first home in the city, established a ferry system, and began the construction of a mill in 1829. A native of Chester, England, Smith's wife Jane Thomas gave Chester, OH its name as a tribute to her hometown. The Chester area includes a number of state parks and historic sites, including The Liberty Bell of the West, The Fort Kaskaskia State Historic Site, the French Creole-style Pierre Menard Home, and Kaskaskia Island, the only part of Illinois west of the current channel of the Mississippi River and the site of the first state capital of Illinois.

Day 4: Cape Girardeau, MO
Cover the Cape Girardeau's history with a tour of the city, including stops to the Riverfront Murals, Red House Interpretive Center, Old St. Vincent's Church, Glenn House, and Red House Interpretive Center. The tour will also explore the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University, Old Bridge Overlook and Park, the Crisp Museum, and the Cape River Heritage Museum, where guests can pick up brochures for information or souvenirs.

Day 5: Paducah, KY
Known as the city of art, rhythm, and rivers, Paducah is a lovely city boasting 19th century architecture, specialty shops, and one-of-a-kind eateries. Once aboard the hop on-hop off deluxe Steamcoach, guests will stop at various cultural and historic attractions, many dedicated to preserving the heritage of the river, railroad and highlights of western Kentucky role in the War Between the States. Tour stops include the National Quilt Museum, the River Discovery Center, Paducah Railroad Museum, Paducah Civil War, and William Clark Market House Museum, which narrates the history of Paducah’s growth.

Day 6: Cave-In-Rock, IL
Uncover the awe-inspiring deep, dark recesses of Cave-In-Rock. Take in the scenic view of the Ohio River from the high bluffs and the heavily wooded park named for the 55-foot-wide cave that was carved out of the limestone rock by water thousands of years ago.

Day 7: Henderson, KY
Henderson exhibits the best qualities of an historic southern river town: a flourishing community, thriving downtown, historic turn-of-the-century mansions overlooking the river, and a recently renovated riverfront. Home to famed naturalist John James Audubon, the town celebrates his famous bird paintings with eight bronze bird statues throughout the city.

Day 8: Brandenburg, KY
Just 40 miles south of Louisville, Brandenburg named after Colonel Solomon Brandenburg and became incorporated in 1825. Explore the Patton Museum of Leadership, which is among the largest in the Army Museum System, to learn about the armor and cavalry through vast displays of equipment, weapons, and other memorabilia covering periods in time from 1550 BCE to present day.

Day 9: Disembark - Jeffersonville, IN
After breakfast, the journey will come to an end, and guests can head home or explore the sights and sounds of Jeffersonville.
