The Palmer House is a grand display of romance as it began as a wedding present from Potter Palmer to his true love Bertha Honore Palmer. The Mezzanine overlooking the 21 awe inspiring Lobby frescos by French painter Louis Pierre Rigal is the a sought after location to pop the question. For the chocolate lover, delivering the ring looped through the ribbon atop the brownie which originated in the Palmer House pastry kitchen in 1873 is a creative and fun way for some couples to get engaged.

The Baseball Hall of Fame, just minutes from the resort as well as the Doubleday Field are other great venues that are popular, especially with baseball fans.
