Constructed along the banks of the majestic Vilcanota River, the Aranwa Sacred Valley was once a massive hacienda that employed close to 100 people back during Peru’s Colonial period. As such, this spectacular historical structure featured everything from multiple kitchens to a massive flour mill. The Aranwa Sacred Valley specifically occupies the hacienda’s former textile factory. Now restored to its former glory, the hotel is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the heart of Peru’s Sacred Valley. The Aranwa Sacred Valley is close to numerous cultural attractions that have defined Peru for centuries. The hotel is incredibly close to many famous Incan archeological sites, like Sacsayhuamán, Tambomachay, and the UNESCO-recognized Machu Picchu. The City of Cusco is just one-and-a-half hour’s drive away as well, enabling guests to experience its wealth of stunning historical landmarks. Venerable institutions like the Cusco Cathedral, the Museo Inka, and the Qorikancha are all within reach of the Aranwa Sacred Valley.
