Haven't been to Bear Mountain in many years. It was nice to go back for old times sake. I liked the revisions to the Inn. Food was excellent. Spa was very enjoyable. Of course, you can't beat the views and the hiking.

  • Needs more Lighting

    by 3qpeasb3e8 on 2020-02-24 07:36 am

We stayed in the stone lodges which were quite cozy. The only issue, was the lack of lighting along the mile long path. After eating dinner at the Inn we attempted to make our way back to the room, but realized it was pitch black outside! With no way to get back to our room in a car, we had no choice but take on a scary adventure through the pitch black night! Nobody gave us the heads up that the entire pathway was unlit so we didn't think to bring a flashlight with us. I sure hope they decide to invest in some lighting, or I may never stay overnight there again. It was just too scary of a walk.

Thank you 3qpeasb3e8 for taking the time out of your busy schedule to post a review for the property. We appreciate the feedback and I will surely forward your concerns on to the state park office to see if we can get the lighting rectified. I will also make sure that our desk agents ask if guests will be walking or driving and provide the materials needed. We appreciate you staying with us and do hope you will return again.
