Located in the historic Colonia Americana neighborhood of Guadalajara, Casa Madonna La Providence first appeared during the 1940s. Originally constructed to be a residence, the buildings first owner—Alarcón Zaragoza—hired the prestigious architect Ignacio Díaz Morales to create its design. Morales brilliantly incorporated Neo-Colonial architecture into the building’s façade, which made it an iconic landmark throughout Guadalajara. All of the historic architectural elements still remain today, even after experiencing a massive renovation that took place during the 1990s. Most of the carpentry is the same, as are the hotel’s stunning variety of European paintings. Casa Madonna La Providence is located in Colonia Americana, which is where many of the city's wealthy families reside. Once a magnificent manor, this historic hotel is located on Avenida La Paz. The Hospicio Cabañas in Guadalajara, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just three miles away from the hotel. Combined with its unbeatable location and its impressive historical charm, Casa Madonna La Providence has all the ingredients for an unforgettable stay.
