This is my all time favorite hotel. It's right on the beach with makes it so easy to go to the beach and go back to the room shower and nap. The food is fantastic at the rooftop bar and dining with ocean views and music on the weekends. Classic style with Mediterranean vibe. Nice size rooms.

  • Uummmmm NO!

The location of this hotel is perfect...but the hotel has a bar that blares music until 2am. It honestly sounds like it's inside your room. Our hallway smelled like weed all night, too. Also, no pool or shower to rinse off any sand from your feet or beach items.
    It's a hot mess!

  • Stayed here for a wedding.

    by manny31132 on 2019-08-03 12:11 am

I recently stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. The service from the workers was very good, they were kind and helpful. However, the hotel has little to no maintenance, the sheets were stained, the walls in the rooms were cracked and stained by a water leak, the bed was loose, and the faucets were rusted. I understand the building was built in 1925 but these are all things that can be fixed and updated. I would not stay there again, the price for being a hotel on the beach is fair but the building needs serious attention.

  • Beautiful Wedding Venue

Many thanks for making our daughter Megan and her new husband Jacob's wedding reception a huge success. It was like a fairytale! The banquet food was delicious, all of the guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever experienced! The Maui Hemingway was amazing! It had rained earlier in the day but the staff did an excellent job of clearing the water from the courtyard and the newlyweds made their entrance there and it was perfect! Dancing there as well later in the evening although the sound system was having some issues it was a perfect night! The banquet room was beautiful as well! Plenty of space for our 120 guests, never felt crowded and we even moved the tables to the sides to finish dancing with better music quality later in the night! Cannot say enough about how easy and wonderful this experience was for everyone involved! It was a Friday night and there were some tickets given to cars in the public lot after 8pm..luckily we caught one of them before it happened. Thank you Casey and your amazing staff!

  • Charming but dated

The first thing to remember when staying here is that you are staying at an old hotel. The furniture in the rooms is all authentic for the time period and the numerous photos throughout the building offer an educational window into the past. However, there is a price for the ambiance. For example, the rooms do not have individual thermostats so you are stuck with the same temperature as the rest of the building. All the rooms have fans which help. Also the hotel has a separate entrance for the rooftop bar. We found our room looking out onto that outside stairwell which is a little disconcerting late at night. When the bar closes at night, get ready for some loud patrons leaving the bar. However, the rooms are clean and the bed was relatively comfortable. Don't bother with the complimentary breakfast. It's pretty skimpy and the only available place to sit is at the bar. (There is an outside seating area, but the morning we were there it was raining)
