  • Wonderful Find - a Real Gem

    I've never been to Youngstown, Ohio before, but went to help a friend that lives in the area. I stayed overnight at the DoubleTree and was really impressed by this hotel.

    The DoubleTree is a classic hotel in an old-world style, but not dated or staid. Between the staff, the room, and the hotel amenities, I have to give the DoubleTree top marks.

    The room was immaculate. The bed extremely comfortable, and I even received a follow-up email from the manager the day after my stay.

    Youngstown was another city that was beset by downturns in the steel industry, but this hotel is proof that the city is attempting to redefine itself. It is conveniently located in the middle of the business district and not far from most other city scenes.

    Youngstown may not be a household name or a target destination, but if you are there, the DoubleTree is the place to stay.

    Enjoyed my stay definitely would recommend others ! Staff was very nice and helpful room service was cooked great and served at a reasonable time. Room was always clean and well put together everytime I came back from work.

  • Gem of a Hotel

    It was only a one night stay, but the room and facilities were extraordinary. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It's downtown location made it ideal. Parking, like most downtown hotels, came at an additional cost. It is modest compared to downtown hotels. The restaurant is great gathering spot for both guests and local residents.

  • Last Minute Trip

    I was thankful that Darrell, Night Audit, waited for my family and I to arrive before the day was flipped over and he accommodated us with an upgrade to fit us all comfortably, even though I mistakenly booked a smaller room type.

  • It's a hotel in Youngstown

    I cannot say I was terribly dissatisfied with this hotel but it definitely didn't blow my mind. The decor is beautiful. I love the more modern furnishings in such an old, historic building. There were some coffee stains on the chest of drawers in my room which should have been take care of by housekeeping prior to my arrival. The staff didn't seem that knowledgeable and I had some issues with billing and checking in and out but other than that I had a nice weekend with my friends.
