The 450-acres that make up the grounds of Dromoland Castle Hotel provide a multitude of opportunities for boundless fun and activity. Chill out or amp up the energy, the choices are limitless.
Schedule an archery lesson, some clay shooting, or partake in the unique experience that is falconry. Breathtaking resident hawks, falcons and owls, and plenty of other wildlife call the estate home. Guests may end up sharing their day with some deer, pheasants, squirrels, or ducks.
Dromoland’s grounds share the same designer who styled the Gardens of Versailles. Take time for some leisurely trout fishing or boating on Dromoland Lough (lake) with an excellent view of the castle. Jog through the ancient woodlands before breakfast, cycle the trails around the grounds, or enjoy a romantic after dinner stroll in the Walled Garden.
Guests can choose to enjoy a day out on the 18-hole golf course. This challenging championship par 72 course wraps around the historic estate and also features a practice facility and lively clubhouse. Take laps in the swimming pool or launch a few volleys on the tennis courts, relax sore muscles in the sauna or steam room, get a mani/pedi at the spa, or switch it up to go-kart with the kids at this five-star hotel. End the day with dinner at one of on-site restaurants and retire to the wonderfully comfortable accommodations.
