  • Great Location. Nice Room. Great for people who like walking and public transportation.

by xraytheory on 2019-10-17 08:42 am

Great Hotel. Good service from front desk staff on the phone prior to arriving as well as through out the entire stay. Emily stands out for her service but everyone was nice. I did notice that no one was physically at the front desk late at night, say 1AM, but a simple call of hello and someone came out to offer assistance. We were able to check in early by asking ahead of time. Room was nice. We opted for regular physical room keys. It was on the 6th floor overlooking Wisconsin Ave, I believe it was room 605. 2 quality queen beds with 4 large, soft pillows each. I slept good every night. Room also had a 2 seat sofa, another chair, a desk and a flat screen TV on top of a dresser although I do not recall seeing a mini fridge under the dresser or in the room since we never needed one. Bathroom was modern, shower stall had a full door and was bigger than an average shower stall. Cleaning staff was more than adequate. The gym was out of service, the hotel offers free passes to Washington Sports Club, a nearby gym. A conference center is on the 2nd floor that is basically a room with 2 computers and printers. A nice touch was when I asked about printing my boarding passes at the front desk and they mentioned the conference room upstairs but also offered to print it for me if I would just forward the documents to the hotel website email.
Having checked in early and with a booked tour scheduled in a few hours we opted to eat breakfast at the attached 1310 Kitchen and Bar. It was very nice but more on the expensive side. I had the avocado toast with egg, it was good. For the more budget conscious traveler there's a 7/11 north and a Wawa store just south of the hotel on Wisconsin Ave for a proper coffee and breakfast meal real early. Martin's Tavern is a historic bar open late that's a must visit. DC is a great city for walking and public transportation. Get a hop on hop off 3 day pass for bus and metro, $30, or look up the DC circulator with $1 fares and pay as you go. Regular bus and dc circulator lines stop right in front of the hotel when you step out to Wisconsin Ave, to the left and take you right to the middle of it all at the National Mall (lines 30N, 30S and 31). I came for the tourist sites and I did not rent a car. I made it a point to get the metro pass. I even caught bus and train to get back to Ronald Reagan airport when leaving DC. Hotel check out time is early, 11AM, but you can leave your luggage at the front desk in case you have a late flight and have time to spend in the city.

I was there with 11 people from work. Location is perfect- walking distance to most everything. Hotel is charming and was very clean- appears that it went through a remodel. Last but certainly not least, the staff was amazing! Thank you!

  • Excellent Location

Excellent location in the heart of Georgetown just steps from great restaurants and shops. Great bar and restaurant on site. Sergio is the best at the bar. Front desk needs to be at the desk more, specially during the PM shift. Thank you.

  • Close to Georgetown University

    by Land2Sea on 2019-10-02 08:57 am

Stayed here for college visits. The area of Georgetown is nice and quiet for being in the DC area. The Inn had a quaint historical feel and was surrounded by federal style homes and shops. Located close to all, if you like to walk. Monuments are less that 10 min away by Uber or taxi. Room was a bit quirky, bathroom door opened up right on the toilet, no air conditioning in there either. No outlets or exhaust fan made it odder. Staff was lovely and helpful and parking easy.
