  • Nice find

    by 22arthurp on 2018-12-04 04:59 pm

Found this gem on Groupon. Drive was about an hour. My wife had massage immediately after very quick and helpful check in. I had a couple of drink a at the bar. Had a great room with a raised hot tub.
Wish the water was hotter for the tub though.
Breakfast was fantastic. Great menu, great service. Had dinner, pricey but worth it. Ate actually in both restaurants. Preferred the pricier one.
Nice get a way for a nice price. Will be back again very soon.

  • Nice quiet and romantic getaway

My wife and I recently spent two nights here for my 40th Bday. We stayed on the top floor of the Farmhouse. The room was very spacious set up like a loft style (one big room with only a separate space for the toilet). It had a large jacuzzi tub that easily fit two people. There was a propane fireplace but it didn't seem to be vented so after 20 minutes it would make our eyes burn (not romantic) so we didn't use it much. There were also two TVs one facing the bed and the other facing a large chair and (sort of) the tub. I never heard anyone in the other rooms so it seemed quite private.

The on site restaurant was quite good. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with farm fresh food choices. The dinners were also good, a bit expensive but not surprisingly so given the quality and fancy setting. Overall a nice weekend. It rained (we visited the weekend after Thanksgiving) so we didn't get outside much but it looked like there were some nice trails and peaceful scenery.

  • We had a restful stay

We had a suite on the lower floor of the Packhouse building. We planned for the hotel to be our mini vacation. We loved the size of the room. The bed was super comfy. There was a jetted tub and fireplace. We did not use the fireplace because it was not winter when we were there. The bathroom is huge.

The complimentary breakfast was homemade and amazing.

We walked the property. One of the trails was buggy. We sat in the chairs outside of our room to watch the sunset. We visited the exercise facility. Walking up the hill to the exercise facility was exercise in itself. We peeked in the horticulture building to see our food growing. We did not use the pool. We did not use the spa options either.

It is a charming place. It may be a challenge for someone with disabilities to explore the entire property.

We were told that the rooms in the main barn (where the restaurants are) can be a bit noisy due to the restaurant operation.

I would suggest surfing the net for a discount before booking. We found one on Groupon.

  • Relaxing getaway

What a great place to enjoy a relaxing weekend! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are wonderful with amazing sheets and towels! Fireplace and spa tubs are a big plus! So relaxing. The restaurant was delicious. The included breakfast is amazing- especially the decadent Blueberry Scones!

  • Family Wedding

We were here for a family wedding. They get strong kudos for staff hustle and helpfulness. The restaurant is excellent, as is their ability to cater a large function (the salmon was very good and still hot). Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The Sleep Number beds are a nice touch. The slight downgrade is for poor lighting and lack of outlets in the room.
