Located in the heart of South Beach, the southern neighborhood of the coastal city of Miami Beach, the Greystone Hotel dates back to 1939. It was designed by renowned architect Henry Hohauser, who was given the title of “Great Floridian” by Florida’s Department of State in 1993 for his major contribution to the distinct Art Deco architectural scene present throughout the region. Originally from New York City, Hohauser was educated at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He arrived in Florida in 1932 and had a significant impact, designing over 300 homes, apartments, stores, restaurants, and other structures, including the Greystone Hotel.

The Greystone Hotel will soon complete a 65 million dollar restoration, bringing a new life to its 91 boutique guestrooms. Guests will have several options to indulge throughout the hotel, from a rooftop poolside lounge with DJs and unique food options, to a mixology-driven whiskey lounge. There will also be a speakeasy, perfect for those seeking a unique experience to enjoy a cocktail or two.

The Greystone Hotel is the ideal destination for those wishing to experience the best of what South Beach has to offer. Guests will only have to venture a block away from the front doors of the hotel to find the sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the seven miles of beautiful beaches throughout Miami Beach. The hotel is situated within walking distance from a seemingly endless selection of attractions to experience. Explore the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science or interact with sloths or lemurs at Jungle Island. The Wynwood Walls offer a unique experience for those interested in visual arts. Guests can also utilize nearby public transportation to explore the area as well. Miami Beach is a trend-setting arts and entertainment mecca with shops, museums, clubs, restaurants, and more.
