  • Beautiful, historic gem!

    by 745adriap on 2020-03-09 09:37 am

Stayed two nights, in town looking at property .. what a delight! Convenient, walking distance to so much. (We love Whiskey Row!)
What brought us to Hassayampa was the fact they allow dogs to stay with you, no charge! We are usually in our RV but had to do a Bonzai trip to check out a potential lot.
Rooms are charming! Small, but well appointed and the bed was very comfy. We very much enjoyed our brief visit.
Ashton and Nick at the front desk were wonderful and helpful.
Room service late Sat night was delicious and perfect.
If we find ourselves needing a hotel in Prescott again, we know where we'll stay!

  • Excellent hotel

Historic buildings can be hit or miss. This hotel was great. Simple, well appointed and beautiful. The rooms are simple but clean with comfortable beds and thick towels. The lobby and outdoor terrace are pleasant places to relax. The staff is helpful and friendly. The downtown location is great.

Great location in beautiful downtown Prescott. Very close to a lot of fun attractions. Rustic, old world feel is very comfortable. Loved the easy accessibility of downtown Prescott. Everything is within easy walking distance. Lots of good shops and restaraunts.

  • Hotel needs upgrading, will not return

    by Linda C on 2020-03-01 01:38 pm

We booked a king suite (Rm 317) to have a separate living room. The hotel was opened in 1927, is centrally located in Prescott. There is a parking lot across the street for guests. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The hotel allows dogs, no cats. This is a multistory hotel. The small single elevator can only be operated by staff, not by guests alone which means getting a staff member to assist. The staircase is narrow and steep with inadequate handrails- a danger to people with mobility problems or those carrying packages/baggage. The walls between the rooms are thin so dogs barking or a next door TV noise is a problem. The mattress on the sofa bed was thin and lumpy. We did not eat in the restaurant or frequent the bar. We've stayed in lots of historic hotels. They are upgraded, comfortable and user friendly. There is a lot of work to be done at Hassayampa to rate an even average rating.

I give this hotel 5 stars based on the price and location. The hotel is clean. Beds are comfortable and hotel staff is great. The location is perfect for a stroll around downtown and walking distance to good resturants.
