    Was in Cincinnati on business. Stayed at this hotel. It was comfortable, clean, and convenient to a number of places in the area. More than that, this hotel is a historical landmark we and has beautiful art through and through.

  • A tired Grande Dame

    I stayed here for a conference at the nearby convention center. All of the staff members I encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby area has been updated but the rooms are a little tired. The bathrooms are small and outdated. There wasn't a makeup mirror and when I tried to use the full-length mirror on the bathroom door to see my makeup it was so dirty I couldn't see anything.

    The baseboards in my room were covered in dust and there was so much dust on the baseboard and floor behind the nightstand that I could have fashioned a large rabbit - forget about dust bunnies.

    There are limited outlets in the room and leaving your phone plugged in overnight requires plugging it in on the desk.

    There is a restaurant in the hotel, but limited eating options even though the hotel is attached to a small mall.

    The walls are thin - you can hear toilets flush, showers running and voices.

    There is a safe and small refrigerator, but the rooms seem tired and worn out.

  • Art Deco Bygone Hotel

    The hotel is a classic Art Deco style Hotel. Beautiful architecture abounds and is truly amazing. We were in town for a wedding. Our room was a deluxe queen with great views of the river. The carpet was worn. The bathroom had been redone but they place the hairdryer attached to the wall right over the toilet.

    We ate breakfast in the restaurant and were very disappointed. The avocado toast had minimal avocado on a skimpy piece of bread with sundried tomatoes down one side. My husband ordered the chocolate smoothie bowl. Our seven year old friend came over and tried it. Yuck was his response. My husband ate only the sliced bananas on top.

    Parking is either valet or self park. Twenty eight dollars a night for in and out even on weekends. Our card was swiped at front desk so we could enter and exit all during our stay but it did not work and we had to pay another seven dollars to exit garage. We spoke to young woman at reception on our return. She informed us and kept repeating we had to take it up with the garage management. Since Hilton was billing us we knew this was wrong. She clearly was not happy when we insisted on talking to the manager. Joe, the manager quickly remedied the situation.

    The gym here was very good. Clean and lots of equipment.

    Security is very good. We entered an elevator and there were two very young children on it alone. They were 8 and 4 and got off on the sixth floor. We excited the building an a security guard saw what happened and cameout to find us and talk to us. Nice to know they are watching.

    We cut our stay short and transferred to another hotel where parking was free. There are many choices in this city.

  • Simply Fantastic!

    This hotel is amazing. The rooms are very cozy and unique. The staff was extremely professional. The lobby is comfortable and accommodating, and the bar was like entering a club from the 1920s with live jazz to boot! This hotel is conveniently located near several bars and restaurants and a short walk from the conference center and sports stadiums. I will book here for sure if I travel back to Cincinnati!

  • Rooms are underwhelming and water wasn't hot

    I'm not sure if we got given an older, crappy room because I booked on Orbitz -- but for over $200 a night, I would have expected at least a 3-star experience? Our room was tiny including the bathroom which you had to step out of the way in order to close the door. When we wanted to take a hot shower after a long car trip -- the water would not get hot. We had to call maintenance, wait 30 minutes for them to come up and then after they were done, we got only slightly warmer water. I seriously could have had a better shower at Super 8. The hotel common areas were historical and charming, but I would not pay this money for a room there again.
