  • Awesome Place & Close to Tourist Shops

by DealScout on 2020-02-24 10:29 am

La Posada is a very cool place to stay in Santa Fe. On a cold day there are fire places to warm up by, a decent restaurant and very cool bar. Staff very friendly and capable. Free shuttle within a 2-mile radius. Rustic look appropriate for the SW. We had a problem with no hot water on the last day. Kind of sux starting a day without a hot shower and shave. I had a $23 bar tab that they comped for my inconvenience. This is a spa resort; but I did not take the opportunity to check out the facilities. Beautiful hardscaping abounds.

  • Room 123 was not what was presented online

by Montecresto on 2020-02-23 07:32 am

We booked a stay in King suite. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. Kind of like garage sale furniture. I was not happy with the room.

The bar and lobby are both beautifully done and we enjoyed Tito's guitar playing. This made the trip good for all.

We will try to find a better room next time we visit. The property was beautiful so I am hoping room 123 is not the best offered at this property.

  • Enjoyable stay

by Hmcust on 2020-02-20 06:21 am

Bed comfy, rooms nicely furnished, well maintained and well equipped fitness center, friendly staff, coffee and cookies and treats and newspapers in lobby gratis for guests - all in all a very enjoyable one night stay. Resort is quite affordable in winter (have also stayed here in summer, rates two to three times more expensive and much more crowded, highly recommend sticking to off-season to truly enjoy a relaxed vibe)

  • Fantastic hotel with lots of charm - needs some changes

    by Shanker B on 2020-02-15 03:07 pm

We stayed at the La Posada for a total of 2 nights. Unlike most people at this resort, we had 6 rooms at this resort but we were all here for work. We checked in around 9 PM and the check in process was quick and effortless. The ladies at the front desk gave us a detailed run down of the resort, location of the rooms, amenities, etc. Being a Titanium elite, I was upgraded to the room with a Kiva fireplace.

The room itself is exotic and the whole resort has a historic feel to it. Its a combination of Adobe architecture and log cabin feel - very well curated resort. The amount of art around the resort was fantastic. it felt like we were staying in an art gallery.

The room itself was very good though a bit small. But it maintained the charm of over a 100 years with matching furniture, floors, beams, etc. to match. Because of that the number of electrical outlets was an issue. The biggest issue for me was that in Room #150 the wifi doesn't work. One of my co-workers who also had a room in that side of resort also had the same problem - Now this a problem that Marriott should solve immediately.

We had lunch in the restaurant in the lobby area and it was pretty good. We also had drinks at the bar one of the nights and it stays open till midnight but we were able to take our drinks and hang out at the library beyond that time. Room services was very quick and efficient, The valet staff was also very quick and efficient.

A very historic hotel with lots of charm. Would definitely stay here in the future when I am in town for work If they fix the internet issues.

  • The General Manager threatened me with reprisal if I left a bad review

    by Steve C on 2020-02-12 12:47 am

Besides my wife and me, three other couples were trying to check-in. We all experienced complete incompetence on the part of the front desk staff. When I called the General Manager to complain, he did not return my call until day three. During that call he provided zero help and threatened me with reprisals if I left a bad review. He is still the General Manager. Customer Service apparently is not part of his vocabulary.

    Owner Response
    Dear Steve,

Thank you for your review and I apologize that we do not offer Friends and Family rates for partnerships in the area. I wish you the best of luck of finding different accommodations in the area that may better suit your needs.

    Thank you.
