Located by Bagac Bay in Bataan, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a marvelous historic resort. Home to almost 40 original Spanish-Filipino Colonial structures, this historic treasure is the vision of Jose Acuzar, who collects, transplants, and restores the heritage of the Philippines. Known as bahay na bato, the resort’s collection of Colonial buildings were chosen for the authenticity of their cultural, historical, and architectural features. They range in style from mansions to wooden stilt houses. As such, Ciudad Real de Acuzar makes the nation’s past come to life. Las Casas Filipinas is situated in Bagac, which is a small fishing village some 77 miles northwest of Manila in the province of Bataan. The resort is just a short drive away from countless cultural attractions that epitomize the Filipino heritage, such as the famous Mount Samat Shrine. Several prominent towns and cities are a few miles away, too, including Subic, Balanga, and Olongapo City. Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan is a beach resort, convention center and heritage destination rolled into one.
