  • Hotel is under remodeling till October. Breathtakingly beautiful.

This is a beautiful hotel. When we visited it is being remolded. The hotel serves peanut butter for guests in the evening and melon water in the lobby. So refreshing after a long day, Even if you don't stay there you should visit the hotel for its splendor. Lots of stories and said to be the most haunted hotel in NOLA.

  • Respectably progressive hotel.

I can quickly see the history and then see the upgrades to appeal to a new audience. I love the vintage closet while keeping the bed modern and massive. The wifi was great. The water pressure was really good. I love the thick walls and long ornate corridors. They don't build 'em like that anymore. It was a cool experience. I had a wonderfully beautiful stroll from Bourbon Street to the hotel... and I'm not young! It was a 20 minute chance to reflect on a great life in a beautiful city!

  • Prankster ghost

by kristinlavespere on 2018-09-18 00:29 am

We visit New Orleans every couple months give or take, we have stayed at so many hotels and never had a ghostly encounter. However our 1st night here I became a believer even more in ghosts! From around shortly after 12am after I fell asleep my fianc?, our 1yr old daughter and me woke up to beating on our hotel room door. I ran and opened the door quickly and found no one there, no sounds coming from any near by rooms or elevators that were way down from our room as we stayed on the 9th floor right next to suit 930. The hall was completely quiet. I immediately thought it to be someone drunk playing a prank or kids. So I went back to bed to be awoken again shortly after by the beating on our door but again nothing when I ran and opened the door quickly. This would happen 1-3 times an hour until 5am. At 3am I was already so frustrated I went to other rooms near knocking on doors and listening into rooms to try to hear of any signs of people up, every room was completely quiet unless I heard snoring and no one came to their doors. I checked the elevators nothing. The beating was so hard it shook the door, sounded as if someone was beating on it closed fist and would beat more at least 1-3 times an hour and back to back quickly. I had no prior knowledge of the hotels ghost background so that never crossed our minds. Finally around 5am after I realized I could place my phone in position at bottom of our door that it could see through the crack I set it to video to try to catch someone's feee at the door and got back in bed and waited it happened again I ran opened the door again nothing completely silent hall no sounds I walked the hall, I closed our door as if I had done and stood in the hall to see if someone would come out thinking they were safe to do it again... but nothing. I replayed my video and it videoed up until the beating I was so pissed I called security a man came straight up and I told him what had been happening and how it had to be people or someone playing a drunk prank or something! His 1st question to me was "are you aware of our hotels history?" I said "no,sir." He explained the ghosts and that this was not the 1st or even 5th time that he has gotten this complaint since being an employee at the hotel. I believe in ghosts... but was still in denial that that actually happened to us. So I asked to see the security camera footage or if he would play back and see he asked if I could come and take a look also so I did and shockingly all you seen besides 2 women returning to their room close to elevators at 1:13am there was no one ever at my door... he then handed me the pamphlet on the history and apologized as I read it a little I was shocked! He then told me the 9th floor in his years of being there was the one he mostly heard complaints about or ghostly experiences happening on. I read that a young girl, Ada died in the room next to us in room 930. Although I truly feel like this was a prank from the prankster ghost, I'm now most definitely a believe even more in ghosts. During our 4 night stay that was the only ghost experience we had ?? I definitely needed sleep after that night. But I most definitely am interested in returning to stay in suit 930 our next trip! I'd most definitely recommend this stunning and awesome staffed hotel to anyone! Absolutely great staff and valet. All in all I'd still rate our stay as a 5.

  • Beautiful renovation, perfect location, awesome staff

    by thubb58 on 2018-09-11 08:37 am

From the moment my family arrived we were treated like royalty. The Doorman Mark and Front Desk Manager Greg were excellent along with the rest of the staff. The rooms were very nice and clean. The recent renovation of the front lobby was completed while we were there and the Historical Al Capone Bar was open for business. Would stay here again (already planning next trip) and highly recommend the Le Pavillion to all. The location was perfect as we did not want to stay in the middle of all the activity, yet it was close enough to be able to walk to most everything. Beautiful view from the rooftop pool. Love the PB&J's every night at 10 pm. It hit the spot just right!!!

  • What have you done to this institution!?

    by Bradley W on 2018-09-08 06:24 pm

The appearance of vomit all over the hallway carpets. The "new" Gucci chain feature in the room has completely taken away from any aesthetic feel of the hotel, not to mention the faux snake side tables really add to the "new" classic modern disaster. The attention to detail with the remodel has been so carefully ignored that I have to actually hold my toilet seat up in the room as I use the restroom. Before you distroy the rest of the lobby please stop. The new iridescent "pimp" purple curtains really offset the coat hanger and tin foil masterpiece behind the checkin counter. My eyes are really drawn to the soothing wanna be "modern crystal" lighting above you as you check in. What were beautiful chandeliers capturing the essence of the lobby have been turned into an overwhelming LED bug zapper hue that now infects the lobby continuing into the bar area. While the bar and a few select bartenders still try to hold on to any fiber of value, integrity, and legitimacy that the La Pavillon held is now being infiltrated by ignorant severs who have no sense of what quality service is.

I have been visiting New Orleans for the past decade and am proud to now call it my home. I would strive to make sure that I was able to stay at this hotel when I visited and now being a NOLA resident staying at the hotel, I would never suggest any friends, family, or foe to stay at this monstrosity ever again.

You think this place was haunted before, good luck trying to co-inhabit this building with the ones who have lived here for at least a hundred years.
