    Everything was good, until they booked us a transfer to JFK in a car with a broken air conditioner. It was like a mooving sauna.
    Minor things - noisy air conditioner in the room and room key with defect (had to be changed 3 times)

  • Three amazing nights

    I was staying there from august 16 to 19 and had a room located on the Penthouse 1 level. The staff are all very friendly and everything is extra clean ! There IS a mini fridge included in the room, which isn't the norm in most hotels of NYC, so it's a plus. Location is near the Empire State Building, perfect to go explore the city. Would definitely recommend and go back in the future !

    My family and I just got back from NYC. The Martinique is in a great location. We had a little issue with the bathroom door upon arrival, but this was quickly fixed. The Concierge is very help full, and is is best to catch up with her as soon as you check in to plan your stay. If you go for the NYC pass, 3 to 4 days is great, just make sure you book all the tours well in advance.
    The hotel is very well located, a walk to most places, even Central Park! Also, the guys at the door to book your car, airport transfer especially to JFK. $65 in a very swish SUV.

  • Digital Check-In not honored, downgraded

    We stayed here for a week to go Broadway shows and restaurants, the hotel is historic so some aspects are quirky like elevators, but I appreciate that.

    We selected a high floor larger room during digital checkin and confirmed it, only to arrive and find out they downgraded us to a low floor, smaller, interior room with no natural light. I stay at a lot of Hilton properties (HHonors Diamond), and have never had another property do that. I asked for explanation of what happened at the desk (they just shrugged) and by email (they never responded at all). They wouldn't let us move, so we were stuck in the dungeon room for a week.

    The Honors lounge is comfortable, the breakfast is definitely not worth paying the $30 they charge, but since I get it free it was worth checking out.

    Overall this hotel is OK, especially for short stays, but don't expect good service.

  • Poor guest services, dirty rooms, and clogged showers.

    The quality of this trip was abysmal as our vacation was interupted with clogged showers, unhelpful staff, dirty rooms, and cold room service. In a city filled with so many other hotels, they really need to step up their game, or lower their prices, if they expect anyone to be a repeat visitor.
