The Gallery
Lavish period furniture, precious fabrics, and priceless antiques are all found in the Metropole Hotel’s impressive Gallery. From 19th-century visiting-card cases and Belle Époque evening bags to curious corkscrews and nutcrackers, the Metropole Hotel’s private collection of antiques is remarkable. Among the most noteworthy items are The Gallery’s collections of crucifixes, the largest in all of Italy.
L’Etage Dei Ventagli
One entire floor of the Metropole Hotel is lovingly dedicated to a collection of more than 100 fans from different ages: magnificent in feathers from the deco period, delicate in silk and fabric, hand painted or embroidered with floral decoration.
The Rite of Tea
This is the high point of afternoons at the Metropole from October to March. A selection of rare leaf tea blends is served with a special ceremony made of candles, soft music, and exquisite sandwiches and pastries made by the chef.
Soundchef
Soundchef is an original multimedia experiment at the Met Restaurant, more precisely the Maison Orientale, a corner of special intimacy, where the flavors of a dish are matched with a delicate musical background. The cooperation between Chef Corrado Fasolato and DJ Valentino Borgia has culminated into a CD with the tracks combined with the dishes. From a minimum of two, to a maximum of eight, guests can book their dinner, and choose the courses specifically prepared by the chef for this experiment. Once at table, each single course has a specific music in the background, a sound that joins and duets with the food creating an striking balance between flavors and sounds. In this way, guests are brought into a dimension of dream, through the seduction of taste and hearing. All the details are cared for in a very simple and linear way, without any excess, with the aim of transmitting to each guest the best sensations in a dreaming journey that can bring you everywhere.
