NOPSI New Orleans, a Salamander Hotel

The historic headquarters of the former New Orleans Public Service, Inc., (NOPSI) has been reinvented into a luxury 217-room hotel. Located in the Central Business District on the corner of Baronne and Union Streets, the nine-story brick building originally opened in 1927 and is now NOPSI New Orleans.

Guests to NOPSI are greeted with a stunningly restored grand lobby, featuring a dramatic 21-foot-high vaulted ceiling, graceful arches, ornamental columns, wood wall paneling, brass grills, and terrazzo flooring. The architecturally unique, industrially elegant luxury hotel features stylish accommodations with refined furnishings, modern amenities, and the largest, most luxurious shower in the city. Suites located on the rooftop will include spectacular city views and private rooftop terraces. Located on-site is Public Service, a lively and regionally inspired restaurant; 14,000 square feet of impressive meeting space; and a spectacular rooftop pool and bar experience.
