  • Mount Washington Hotel

The facility is in a breathtaking location. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The horseback riding was a lot of fun. The cuisine in all of the restaurants was excellent, especially the Bretton Arms Dinning Room, which was out of this world!

  • A Gem Hidden in the Crown on the Omni Mt. Washington Hotel Grounds. SHHHH ! DON'T TELL ANYONE!!

If you want to get away from hectic and step back a bit to a quieter time, try the Bretton Arms. It's a short walk along a wooded path from the Main Building to this hidden treasure. You have all the services of the Main Hotel open to you, but you are staying in a small boutique inn away from the crowds. Be sure to look on line for OMNI BRETTON WOODS as this is kind of lost in the hoopla of the main resort. (Thank goodness :):) The stress and tension of modern life will drain from you as you sit the "Parlor" reading or added to the jigsaw puzzle just relaxing. Definitely not for the jacuzzi power suit crowd. That's stuff is up the hill. The cozy (Opentable 5 star rated ) dining room is a must for both breakfast and dinner. We've eaten here and in the main hotel. There is no comparison. This chef is a master Our broiled halibut melted in my mouth. Small ful service bar.. maybe 8 stools?? :)) The front desk of one person was very cordial as you would expect in an INN. If you are old enough to remember the Bob Newhart Show Vt inn and thought it was neat.. The Bretton Arms is for YOU. I think Daryl and his brother Daryl work here now. Handy shuttle service to the golf course and the Hotel (and yes to the slopes in winter). Wander over to the stables for a trail ride. Or just go for a walk on the wooded trails. Read the recent review from CBW47 also...ALSO, THIS IS A PET FRIENDLY INN!!

  • Less hectic alternative to busy main hotel

We chose to stay at the "Arms", as the locals call it, wanting to be away from the busy-ness of the main hotel. It's an easy, short walk away, or a shuttle can be called at a moment's notice instead. It's small, quiet and much more intimate, with lots of charm. There are comfy lounges (some with games), a very nice bar (bartender makes an excellent dry martini!), and onsite restaurant for breakfast or dinner.
We had a spacious king suite, nicely appointed, though the furniture was a little old. The window A.C unit worked fine, and Wifi also OK. Parking there was very convenient, right next to the inn.
The unloading/loading area by the front door isn't covered, so we had to borrow one of their umbrellas when we packed up the car to leave on a rainy day.

  • Lovely resort, food and rooms below par.

We stayed one night at the Omni. While the resort activities at this hotel were excellent, we felt the hotel fell short on the quality of our room and the dinner meal we had at the Rosebrook Caf?. We booked a small room that was clearly advertised as such. Indeed it was small, but was disappointing. While the room was well appointed, the bathroom tub was in need of repair. The tub had thick layers of grout and mold growing between each tile. In addition, we were suspect of the air quality from the air conditioner, since we both woke up congested in the morning. At the Rosebrook restaurant, I ordered a cobb salad, which was excellent. My significant other ordered a short rib sandwich that was covered with a strong tasting barbecue sauce. The sauce overpowered the sandwich and he did not like it.

This was our third stay at the Inn at Bretton Arms. Best one yet. The Inn is delightful and the amenities at the Mt Washington Resort are great. Meals and especially breakfast were superb. We will be back again and again.
