    Very poor experience. Room was too small. Wifi never worked. Request for complementary water bottle required three phone call and wait times for an hour. Help desk response was a bit rude. Overall bad experience!

    If you visit Boston, you have to stay here. Not only for the service but this is the home of the Parker House Roll.I enjoyed every minute of my stay and I can not wait to visit again.
    Well worth the money.

    Beautiful building. Very clean, the rooms are a bit small, especially if you need 2 beds, but the beds are very comfy. The buffet breakfast was over 45 min wait, and once seated another 20 min before a waitress came to the table. That was both confusing and frustrating. It did taste good though.

  • Perfect location for visiting Boston.

    The hotel is beautiful. The staff are all very kind and courteous. We were offered water (no fridge in room), but all you do is ask for water at the desk. Check in was easy and our room was really nice. We had a nice view. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bed. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. Our server was very nice and helpful with subway information. We had the Boston Cream pie one night at the bar with coffee. It was very good. We spent time in both bars and enjoyed good drinks and great service. This is the perfect place to stay when going to Boston for historical sightseeing. Most everything is in walking distance. The Hotel is beautiful. I highly recommend.

  • Location, location,location

    This is not so much a review of this hotel as an attempt to lodge a complaint with Trip Advisor and Booking.com; it seems impossible to make contact with either through their 'support ' sites.
    My wife made a booking through you and booking.com for this hotel, and at all times throughout the booking notices was booking a deluxe room, but, unknown to her when the booking was completed, it was a 'traditional room with full size bed '; I had never seen this bed description before but, it means a 4'6" bed; for traditional, understand, small. Not enough room to open our suitcases.
    We remonstrated with the hotel, explaining that it was not their fault, and, after 2 days were moved to a room with a queen size bed, but again, quite small; not enough room for a bedside table to right of bed; it would have been impossible to open the room door if there was one.
    Now, the hotel was built in the 1800s and perhaps is not amenable to much modernisation.
    Their restaurant and bar are excellent.
    Incidentally, booking.com also got our surname wrong in the booking. I apologise for being so long winded, but you must both improve your support contact pages.
    Again, the location was perfect.
