    Convenient location and very decent rooms. Staff is kind and accommodating. Very close to union station so coffee and food is convenient. Valet parking is $59 per night but you can take your car in and out with 20 minutes notice. We walked or used Uber or taxis because... DC parking is ridiculous. Overall a great hotel in a convenient location, nice rooms, for a reasonable rate. I would stay here again.

  • Good location!

    The Phoenix is a great location. Not completely in the mix of things, but definitely within walking distance of all the sightseeing and food spots. The hotel is very small, the rooms are nice and clean, but small. If you can not sleep with any noise going on outside this is absolutely not the place for you. The township was literally cutting down trees at 5 am on a Saturday morning and we heard every single wood-chip. However the staff was great ?? so that's a plus. Oh no parking available, they do have valet but charge an arm and a leg to use it and you will not be able to leave the lot and return. Once your car is there it will remain there for the evening! Find other parking.

We have no control over events outside our door but do try to provide comfort and hospitality inside our doors. Parking is costly and very limited in our area and prices for us - and all hotels around us - reflect this limited option.   • quiet, clean, convenient-and a great shower!

    We stayed here several months ago for an overnight visit. I would be happy to return to the Phoenix Park. It is a beautiful property, very well maintained, and the front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. We had asked for rooms away from the elevator and that's what we received.

    I was traveling with my husband and our son and daughter in law. We were given adjoining rooms without having requested them, which we appreciated. The room was a comfortable size and I especially liked the blue and white decor. The bed was a bit soft for us, but it pretty much always is. I would have preferred a closet with a door that closed rather than the open hanging area.

    The bathroom was clean and the shower was terrific-I could hardly force myself out. :-)

    We booked this hotel partly for its location and, indeed, it was easy walking distance to Capital One Arena and a couple of restaurants. The only negative I noted was that the elevator was exceptionally small. I wondered if people using wheelchairs would have a hard time getting in and out.

    We were not thrilled with the idea of spending $59 for valet parking, but we were able to find a lot a block away that was $20 for 24 hours.

Parking options are limited in our area and rates are high as we often state here. We provide valet parking door to door as an option and convenience for our guests and rates reflect our costs for parking and valet staff. There are self parking options in our area which will be less as they don't provide for door to door service. We always suggest our guests research all their options available and make the choice that best fits their needs. We appreciate your business.

  • Absolutely the Best !

    You could not choose a better hotel to stay in DC ! It's in a perfect location with all the various sights to see just a few minutes away. From the moment we arrived and throughout our entire10 day stay, we were treated with the utmost respect with a genuine feeling we were their welcomed guest. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful especially teaching us how to use UBER for the first time. The room we had was perfect in every way. It was kept spotless by the room service staff and everything was freshened up very quickly during the day. The mattress was very comfortable as was the lounge chair. We also enjoyed the Dubliner, an Irish Pub, right next to the hotel. Great food and drinks especially the breakfasts. Cooked exactly to order and quickly if needed. All in all, one of the best vacations we've had in a long time thanks to our "home away from home"...the Phoenix Park !

  • Seven years of great service

    I have been booking our annual conference at Phoenix Park Hotel for over seven years. The staff is wonderful and very responsive to my needs and those of our members who fly to DC every June. Janice Washington is a pleasure to work with. She responses quickly to my e-mails and phone calls. The few times I have had an issue, it has been handled quickly and to my satisfaction. We will be back next year!
