  • Historical Landmark

by Jwkruz on 2018-08-20 07:44 pm

We had to stay at this historic landmark near Bozeman. It's a three-story building and there's no elevator so you can lug your suitcases up the stairs or they offer to do so or you. You are greeted at the front desk with a flute of champagne and a wash towel (although I found it strange that the hand towels were not heated like in first class of an airline).
The staff was very nice and accommodating. When I booked the room on-line, it was described as the largest room style in the hotel, and could accommodate 4 adults. I assumed that meant 2 queen beds but instead it was a king bed and a sofa sleeper. When I inquired at the front desk, they said they could give me a room with 2 full beds, but we had 2 volunteers in our group to use the sleeper sofa.
In the morning, they bring a continental breakfast to your room (included in the cost) - you just fill out the card and specify a time, then place on your doorknob before 11 pm. Breakfast was prompt, accurate and delicious. BTW, there was a note that said the hotel was built 100+ years ago and the walls are not soundproof - so ear plugs and a white noise machine were in the room - but we heard nothing from the other rooms and didn't use the items.
In the evening we sat on the big front porch and enjoyed a drink as we sat on the many rocking chairs provided - plus blankets are provided. Not much of a view across the street - a bank and a Chinese restaurant (and casino), but it was quiet and enjoyable nonetheless.
There are also two restaurants on site, one for fine dining and one for casual dining. We ate at the casual restaurant and the food was very good, as was the service.

  • Such A Lovely Surprise

    by Carmela F on 2018-08-19 04:39 am

Traveling from Georgia to visit my daughter in Bozeman, Montana; we were looking for a special destination for an overnight. Well, we found it at this charming, small hotel. From the time we pulled up until we departed, we had the most wonderful experience and made fun, sweet memories. Everyone on the staff from front desk, management, maintenance and servers were so friendly and accommodating. The little details and the intimacy of this hotel, listed as one of The Historic Hotels of America was everything we'd hope for and more. The town of Three Folks is small but there is plenty to see and do all around Sacajawea. We really enjoyed our lunch at Sac Bar and we had a fabulous dinner at their restaurant Pompey's Grill.
If you are looking for a snooty, over crowded, non personal place to stay, well this isn't for you. But if you want a refreshing, lovely, comfortable hotel to get away from the madness and noise, then this is the place for you. We can't WAIT to go back!

  • Classy and breathtaking from the moment you walk into the elegant lobby

We had heard about The Sacajawea and the restaurant, Pompey's Grill, and decided to give a try. It was an amazing and fun experience. At check in we were surprised to be greeted with lavender scented towels and champagne! Our room was quaint and lovely. The entire setting is like going back in time, but with some modern twists. Be sure to book your reservation well in advance. It books up quickly!

Great get-away and the room was wonderful, the dining room was superb and the special crab salad was out of site, we recommend this Hotel. A letter was sent to the GM, Ms. DeBruycker thanking her and the staff for making our stay so enjoyable

  • Visiting Montanaâs Past

    by Rod M on 2018-07-30 01:29 pm

On a trip to Montana to visit its mining and farming past, we drove to Three Forks. We wined and dined and spent the night at the Sacajawea Hotel, Bar and Restaurant.
We couldn't be more pleas3d with our choice. The room was exactly as we wanted. The bar had a beautiful setting. The restaurant had a great menu and the food was delicious.
The people at the Sacajawea delivered great, friendly service and were genuinely friendly as well. We found the friendliness wherever we went in Montana.
    We will return!
