    My wife and i recently visited Louisville for the first time. We stayed at the Brown Hotel for 3 nights and throughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is historic in every sense. With that in mind, what really stood out was the Hotels OUTSTANDING customer service. If you want five star treatment and employees who genuinely care about the guest experience, look no further. The Brown is a Louisville classic, everyone who visits should at be able to say that stayed there once.

    Room design was a little odd...room itself was okay, no mini fridge, huge walk in closet that was the size of the bathroom which was a little small, okay for one person getting ready, some issues with some things not being real clean,the make-up mirror was dusty with hairspray residue, thick dust on the chair legs, around docking station and back of television. Overall cleanness was okay...nothing that effected my stay I was there on business and was only in the room to sleep and shower and the bed a tub was clean so that was most important. All the staff I encountered was very friendly and helpful, everything we were served was great from the banquet food to the chicken and waffles I had for breakfast. I will more than likely stay again but will be a little more conscious of the cleanness of room.

  • Pretty historical place

    We saw it on the internet and it looked like a great place in the downtown. Next to the International Headquarters of Kindred Healthcare, a Fortune 500 company. Nicely located near the attractions of Louisville. It looked great in the internet and even better in person. Opened in 1924 they have maintained the history with little history places around the hotel. They have kept it up well. We enjoyed the service and the service people.

  • Best hotel on our tour

    We had a great experience at this wonderful hotel. The employees were wonderful in every department. The service was top notch. For an old place it was in excellent shape and very clean. We enjoyed dining in the restaurants. It was close to many other restaurants and activities in the downtown. We spent a lot of time in the hotel. The staff got to know us and greeted us wherever we went. We saw the grey haired hotel manager all around the hotel as well as other suited staff that were welcoming and meeting guests in the lobby and at the front door. We will return on our next visit for sure.

  • Room smelled musty and moldy - very disappointed!

    The lobby of this hotel is beautiful but it needs major remodeling and our room was awful! They should definitely considering at least changing out the the carpet in the hallways and rooms. Food was great but staff wasn't very friendly overall - we asked that waters be brought up to our room but they never came- they do have complimentary shuttle service to the airport.
