    Was on a walkabout in downtown Atlanta today and stopped into the renovated Candler Hotel. Intended to simply have a drink at the bar but ended up staying for lunch. Excellent. Please swing by when in Atlanta as this isn't the typical downtown hotel.

  • Perfect in every way!

    My husband and I stayed here over the Valentines Day weekend and let me tell you, this hotel is EVERYTHING! Gadz and Jonathan went above and beyond assisting us.. their customer service made our stay even more enjoyable. We will be definitely be returning!

    i loved my stay at the Candler! If it were up to me, i would have stayed for much longer than one night. The staff was so friendly, they went way out of their way to accommodate me with some random requests. The room was lovely and extremely clean. I will absolutely be coming back

  • Best Stay in Atlanta!!!

    First and foremost my wife and I travel 211 days out of the year and have visited many hotels and cities but Atlanta is our primary home. Nothing beats staying at home in your own bed and chillaxin....except for a stay at the historic CANDLER HOTEL ATLANTA!

    What was supposed to be an overnight stay between travel, ended up being a two-day wonderful adventure and the sweetest Valentine's Day getaway EVER! My wife and I felt like we were vacationing at our second home; our very own luxury studio condo in the city with all the bells and whistles.

    The architecture and beauty of this hotel stands out from the moment you walk thru the golden front doors. Right away you will notice the elegant furniture and exotics flowers leading to the check-in area, the stunning chandeliers in the winding lobby stair cases, the monolithic sculptures in the structural details, and the seven golden brass elevators doors that open to hand carved crown molding (if you have ever been to Saks Fifth Ave in New York and we're blown away by the architecture, yeah this is on that level! )... Oh and then there's MARBLE.... THERE'S BEAUTIFUL MARBLE EVERYWHERE!

    Then you walk into a spacious room with an updated Renaissance vibe with simple luxury details (reminiscent of the movie Scarface but modern/sexy). The rooms are far enough a part that you wont notice you have neighbors.
    The city views of downtown Atlanta are stunning, the beds cuddle you to sleep, the bathrooms and showers are spacious and full of marble (two people can comfortably move around at same time), and they are stocked with fancy designer Balmain toiletry.

    Then to top off you stay is the first class service from all members of the staff and the dining experience at by George!

    These are our list of highlights:

    1. Tom, the concierge, is PHENOMENAL!!! Make sure to meet him. He's got you covered from game tickets, to security, to livery services. He knows luxury and class, and will provide you with exceptional hands on hospitality... oh and he's very funny and personable!
    2. If you need a point to point or hourly livery, ask Tom for Ali. He's very clean, professional and extremely knowledgeable about the city.
    3. The restaurant in the hotel is called "by George". Dinner is the best! Breakfast was good but crowded and the wait for food was longer than we liked, but they took care of our meals.
    For dinner, my wife and I tried the salted/buttered dinner rolls, foie gras (duck fat with a sweet jam and buttered toast), escargot (cooked snails served on a thick bread drenched in a buttery rich sauce) langoustine from Norway (looks like a prawn, but taste like sweet tiny lobster --prepared grilled with sweet pickled peppers which at first glance I thought they were Hot habanero peppers), handpicked bluecrab meat slaw with crackers, sword fish and butter beans, shredded cabbage, spaghetti squash with cheese, French style pot roast with carrots and potatoes, and two pastry desserts. Our absolute favorite dish was the bluecrab slaw -- A MUST. Our other favs were the dinner rolls, the langoustines (comes with four), and the swordfish with butter beans.

    Overall, our stay and experience was an A+ , on par with any five star hotel!!! Just be a little patient with them as they are still trying to manage moving parts as a relatively new hotel (they just opened their doors in October 2019). Hope this helps.

    I can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious. The staff treated us like royalty from the second we walked in the door until we checked out. We didn't want to leave. I will be forever great full to Gadi who I talked to when setting up my reservation and was there beside us every step of the way for our weekend. Tom, Fredreika and Antwan were there daily with a smile and a what can we do to help your stay more pleasant. We wanted for nothing and enjoyed everything. The restaurant By George had a great breakfast. We always got in and out quickly and when it's a cheer competition weekend that matters. The kids had choices they loved and the adults were happy too. We didn't get to enjoy dinner in the restaurant due to our schedule, but room service was spot on and delivered quickly. The bar had a great menu and the desserts were phenomenal. I will dream of the creme br?l?e for months. I tried the steak tartare for lunch and my daughter had the chicory salad. We were blown away by how beautiful it was and it tasted even better. Cheer competition stays are tough. We are tired and rarely get to enjoy our hotel. Gadi made it possible for us to enjoy everything they had to offer. If I am back in Atlanta this will be my go to hotel. Every time.
