  • Way overpriced for what you get $360.00 a day

    by Joan R on 2018-08-05 09:36 am

1.Main problem was our room we could hear the next-door neighbors as if they were in our room!
    2. No microwave, no refrigerator in the room. Nice size room nice size bathroom nicely decorated.
    3. It seems like the hotel caters to weddings and parties. Needless to say a lot of drunk people and noise.
    2. The breakfast was wonderful fantastic, plenty of fresh fruit, bread bagels, eggs, bacon, pancakes, Mash! Tea, coffee.
    Wonderful warm dishes!
    3. Very nice salt pool, lots of kids
    4. We don't have a pet but it is pet friendly.
Extremely surprised there is no computer room and no printer. I had to pay for one Xerox copy. Not that it's expensive it's just at the hotel is cheaperthat provide a computer room with a printer.

  • East house âissues â

    by nancyfZ3287MZ on 2018-08-02 10:38 am

I struggle to write this review as I don't like to be negative. However, my family checked into the East House (because I liked the idea of air conditioning and TV) and as soon as we walked into our two - first floor rooms- the stench of mildew (musty- damp smell) was severe. The chairs and curtains were seriously moist. The hotel was able to switch one of our rooms as the manager (Mike) said they were full and I did explain our concern (which he denied knowing anything about )and I also asked Mike to follow up with me regarding moving our second room - which he did not. It was one of the worst nights I've had in a long time. We checked out the next morning and they did not even ask why we were checking out after only one night (we had reservations for the entire week)! I also noticed that they had a big fan blowing into the basement of this particular building- all day and night. Hmm... the hotel is obviously aware of the moisture problem.

The hotel grounds were very nice - pool was wonderful and the breakfast was great too and That's all folks!

  • Quaint, but facilities should be better for the premium price

    by Bedfordshire-Boy-Two on 2018-08-01 05:37 pm

The hotel trades on its history and location. However, its facilities should be better for the price. I can see why air conditioning isn't viable, but TVs, coffee-making facilities and a fridge shouldn't be out of the question. The lack of a high-quality restaurant for evening meals was also a disappointment. The free breakfast and pool were good, but overall this hotel isn't good value and not great for families. Pet-friendly hotels also need to keep a closer eye on the cleanliness of the lawns!

  • My best place for a short Holliday

    by Danielle l on 2018-07-27 06:05 am

I spent 2 nights at Colony Hotel, Kennebunkport. Fantastic!!!
Everything was perfect. A beautiful view on the sea!
Food: marvelous for breakfast, lunch, diner.
The village is so inviting because of the residents who are very welcoming.
I felt so quiet, enjoying every minute of that Holliday

  • A Maine Classic

    by brucemO117KT on 2018-07-26 10:07 am

Have stayed here several times over the past years and always found it comfortable, low key and inviting. Pricing is competitive, rooms are nice, we like the Gaylan House. Breakfast is pretty standard buffet fare but the views are great. The Inn is a bit worn but nicely so. Great place to stay but you better like dogs as they are very prevalent.
