  • Peaceful Paradise

    We visited this resort last week and absolutely loved it. A peaceful paradise filled with great, attentive staff who really care about the guest experience. Hotel is beautiful - I didn't want to leave! I would highly recommend taking one of the daily guided hikes, very informing and a great way to start the day. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will be back!

  • Worst 12 hours in wine country

    Popped into town at 11pm for 1 night to connect with friends. Checkin took 20min. I was assured the room was prepped and ready w a rollaway for my kids. Beds were not set up and there were bugs in sofa bed when the bellman opened it. Took 1 hour
    and 3 calls to get security & and a buddy to
    change the sheets. Jacuzzi tub button broken. Family waited for 30min at breakfast Mon AM @ 930 and eventually we just left after asking the busperson 4 times to send a waiter over. I spent 30min explaining these fails to the front desk manager before heading to find food and Traintown.
    I asked for late checkout and he offered me an extra 2 hours. As I was packing up, housekeeping was trying to get in my room to spray for mosquitos. What I really wanted was a clean functional room and some breakfast. We were there to visit a friend
    who was a key note speaker for a fancy event that brought in plenty of money. We were treated like we were intruding on the property. Valets were nice.

  • Mineral pools and in-room jacuzzi tubs! Customer service exceeded expectations!

    From the customer service to the mineral pool, this is an awesome property in the middle of Sonoma wine country! I have stayed at many a hotel in my years and this is honestly the best customer service I have ever received - from the valets to the bell hops to the front desk to room service - very friendly, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented.

    The property was very scenic and quiet - with fountains, hammocks, fire pits, and more. You can buy s'mores kits to roast over the fire pits - very fun! The mineral pool was quite unlike any swimming pool I've been in - my hair didn't dry out and I didn't smell like chlorine. Room service was great, and the in-room amenities were great (including the bath salts!).

    The rooms can get very pricey close to your trip date - so I would plan and make your reservations well in advance (up to a year!). I was able to get a room upgrade for my stay at less than the cost of booking that upgraded room from the start, so it was terrific all around.

  • Lovely and relaxing stay

    We felt re-energized after a two night stay at this property. The hotel is beautiful with historical charm. The spa was built around thermal waters called the Boyes Hot Springs. Guests may use the hot springs for a fee or with a spa service. The spa has a high level of service and offers water and snacks. It is very relaxing after a long day exploring Sonoma. All of the employees we encountered offered excellent service. Fairmont Sonoma is an excellent escape!

    Outstanding services and so professional. The attention to detail is incredible. It was an amazing experience from the moment we stepped into the building. Everyone was so accommodating and made sure everyone feels incredibly special. What a beautiful experience.
