    Everyone greeted me with a smile and were so pleasant in offering assistance of any kind. They were gracious in answering questionz and attending to my needs such as supplying an extra shopping bag and umbrella. I had a wonderful, relaxing time.

  • Extra surprise fee

    I was surprised with the $15.00/ day resort fee
    They should have told us at first so at least there's no surprises
    Room they put us first was so small, I have to ask them to relocate us
    Water from the faucet is yellow and smelled bad.
    We have to request to tidy our room, if you don't request-sorry.
    Toilet paper also we have to asked
    I can hear people soft conversations in my room.

  • Terrible customer service

    I booked a room at Hotel Viking and am no longer able to travel due to the Coronavirus. I called and asked to move my booking and they told me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to call Expedia who I booked through. This feels egregious in-light of the situation and how other travel providers are handling the situation.

  • Pretty Facade

    This is a property in Newport, RI, a town that is fun, pretty and full of great B&Bs. Like me you may Go to the hotel website and be tempted by the photos showing a pretty facade and welcoming hotel rooms. But after spending a night here my recommendation is to steer clear.
    The room I was given was similar to what one gets at a roadside motel. It was cheaply furnished with absolutely no soul. The bathroom was dark with a fan/ light that sounded like a freight train. The sink was in the entrance. In fact the room was one that's wheelchair accessible and it made me think, is this how we treat people who are not able to walk?
    The hotel staff was not interested in giving me a new room. I asked for my money back for the second night, packed my bags, and said adios.
    You should just avoid the property in the first place.

  • Great visit to Newport

    This hotel is a gem- perfect location to walk to everything the city has to offer. The food and beverage offerings are amazing. There is a smokey old-fashioned that was really delicious in the bar. The beds were so comfortable. I went for a run on the cliffs which was amazing. I went for work but will definitely come back for pleasure.
