  • Beautiful property, lovely room

    by Jason A on 2019-08-19 12:30 am

My wife and I spent 3 nights here to explore the area and enjoyed ourselves. The room was large and very clean with excellent furnishings. We stayed in one of the suites. The Bathroom was huge and spotless. There is a gas fireplace in the room but since it was winter the glass was so fogged it was hard to enjoy. The bed was very comfortable and the property was quiet depsite it being full. Staff was very friendly and the package we chose gave us admissions to Longwood gardens and the Hagley museum (2 of the options we chose) The property is beautiful and it is centrally located to many attractions in the area. For a brief overnight or a long weekend it is a great place to stay

The room was spacious and furnishing were very attractive and comfy. The Inn and grounds are extremely clean making it very inviting. We stayed only a night but thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The are many attractions minutes away: Longwood Gardens, Hagly Museum, Brandywine Park and much more.

  • Best hotel in Delaware

I love the Inn. I brought 6 guests for 2 nights and they all fell in love. We used the Board Room for a private dinner one night and the food and service was excellent. The staff is incredible and each room is meticulously and distinctively decorated. Every detail is thoughtfully considered. The grounds are maintained to Longwood Gardens standards. One of the most charming places to stay on the American East Coast to be sure.

  • Lovely Delaware Inn

The Inn and Spa at Montchanin is convenient to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Nemours, Hagley and many more wonderful places to visit in the Brandywine Valley of Pennsylvania. It is a beautifully-restored historic village that is now a top notch inn.

  • Great Hospitality

    by Jeanie K on 2019-04-22 06:18 am

We spent 3 nights at the Inn at Montchanin originally in the Belin suite (right on major road) and then moved to Whitfiel suite (not sure if I have the spelling quite right). Belin is 2 story with a bedroom on the 2nd floor so not exactly perfect for us but Whitfiel was fantastic. The room has a separate sitting area and a back deck with comfortable chairs. The honor bar in the main reception area has a player piano and various games - all very comfortable. There are some very odd figures around the fireplace which really don't fit into the decor of the room so I would suggest those be removed. Breakfast at Krazy Kat's was reasonably priced. We ate dinner at Krazy Kat's 3 nights in a row. Excellent food and great staff including Jess and Michelle. I would highly recommend staying here since it is perfectly located for all of the sightseeing in the area. We enjoyed our visit very much!!!
