  • Poor show!

    I arrived for a 4 night stay in October 2019 - as I had some work in downtown Houston. The rooms were small and breakfast average. The receptionist was lovely and supportive. The night before I had to leave, I asked if any payment was outstanding and the said none... In the morning I had to leave early to get to MN - after checking about at about 6am, I recieved my bill with an extra 130 Dollar charge for food I didn't even consume. I was at the airport and called back instantly - within seconds a revised bill was issued. Its scary that on a work trip, with a pre-paid / authorised AMEX, its easy to overlook the detail.. Not great customer practice! Double check any payments I say!

  • Good location for business travel to downtown Houston

    I was in Houston for one night for a court hearing and needed a hotel walking distance from the courthouse. The Lancaster fit the bill and was a good experience. The rooms are well-appointed and quiet, the breakfast buffet was very good, and lunch in the restaurant was also good. The staff is top to bottom professional and genuinely interested in ensuring you have a good stay. Highly recommend.

  • Shocked by the lack of response

    Following the current problem about coronavirus I unfortunately had to cancel my room reservation.
    After sending two emails to the concierge (which is the only option available even in website) without getting any answer, I had to call directly to the hotel. To make it simple : I never been so badly welcome... Don't get me wrong, polite but without any kind word and warmth attention. Had to repeat three times my name, the dates of the emails sent, the date of my stay, the room category etc. After 10mn of verification (long distance call!!!) the answer is "your room is cancelled, good bye" I had to insist though to get a confirmation email, which of course, I never received.
    With a 2000$ bill I would expect more than this average service and, in my opinion, bitter and rude behavior.
    So I don't know if I will reserve a room again in this hotel.

  • Gorgeous Hotel and Excellent service

    This was my first and hopefully not my last stay at the stunning hotel. My room included stunning art work, luxurious bath toiletries, yummy COMPLEMENTARY snacks and ultra comfy bed. Upon my arrival to my room, I was greeted with a complimentary cheese plate to welcome my stay. Once I was able to get settled into my room, I headed downstairs to the restaurant to meet up with a friend for lunch. I decided the try the Lancaster salad and oh my goodness, that was the MOST delicious salad, I've ever tasted. The service at our meal was so amazing that we decided to head to the bar to continue our visit. At the bar we tried the Candied Pecan Old Fashion drink...sooo delicious! The hotel stay included the most delicious breakfast, complete with eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, fruits, oatmeal and various breads and pastries, all complimentary and part of your stay. The hotel more than exceeded my expectations and made sure every tiny detail was taken care of. HIGHLY recommend The Lancaster Hotel

  • Exceeded My Expectations!

    My husband and I just stayed at The Lancaster on a Saturday night after going to see a musical at The Hobby Center.

    Every detail of our experience at The Lancaster was excellent:
    The friendly valet staff, the welcoming front desk gentleman (with a nice complimentary glass of sparkling wine!), the beautiful room (complete with turn-down service!), and the incredibly comfortable bed made us feel special!

    The hotel location can't be beat. We walked to dinner, the theater, and a bar afterwards.

    Our first stay at The Lancaster won't be our last!
