Visiting the Wakulla Springs Lodge was like taking a step back in time. Antique furniture in the lobby with a large fireplace to create ambiance. They have an old soda fountain style cafe with a nice gift shop attached. Behind the lodge is the beautiful spring fed river. The water is crystal clear! You can pay $8 per person to take a 30 minute narrated boat ride down the river. You can see many manatee, allegators, turtles, deer, and native birds. There are three diving platforms where people swim in the river in the warmer months. This is the same river where the manatee and alligators live. I think that's crazy! This is a great place to take the family for a day visit. The lodge is beautiful to see and the river ride is well worth the $8 fee.

  • Just Awesome

Great old fashioned lodge that is well cared for. Good restaurant- we had dinner and breakfast there - I would recommend booking their B&B option. Moreover, the boat tour of the State Park is awesome. You will see lots of animals. We were lucky and could see more than 20 manatees in the spring because the weather was cold and they come there to stay warm. ? recommendation from my side. We had a wonderful time.

Thank you for taking a moment to review your stay at our historic Lodge. We work hard to maintain the history and upkeep, and it's a;ways nice when our efforts are noticed.

While we feel for the manatees during cold spells, it is quite a sight to see them gather in the Springs for the warmer water. The boat tour is always fun, but more so when plenty of 'the locals' participate, or just come out to watch.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to The Lodge at Wakulla Springs in the future.

  • Old tranquil Florida

Nice property in a part of Florida which still looks like 1936. No TV's in rooms, very friendly and courteous staff and very good and unique cuisine. Restaurant staff is super friendly and attentive. Enjoyed our stay and recommend the relaxing 1 hour boat ride.

  • Florida from yesteryear

Located in a stat park, this lodge has unique location. It feels like going back to the 1930, when this hotel was actually built. Experiencing a Florida wilderness thats absolute the opposite of the Miami scene. A boat tour on the Wakulla river is an must, to see Manatees, Gators and a variety of birds.
The lodge's built 1930 and kept all of its charm. Only the bathroom fixtures could stand updating. The dining room was the highlight. Great southern food in super sized portions, served by friendly and efficient waitresses and all at reasonable prices.
