  • Overnight business visit

by RDBAz on 2018-12-17 11:55 am

The staff at the Montvale was exceptional. When I first checked in the room that I was given had such thin walls that I could hear the people in the next room talking. I asked the staff about it and I was immediately moved to a much quieter room. The hotel is a classic old Western hotel that is been updated and extremely well maintained. There is a very relaxing seating area on the 2nd floor. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well designed.

  • Comfortable Rooms and a Friendly sophisticated gathering space

    by Frank M on 2018-12-06 03:01 pm

Classic, well appointed space - Staying at The Montvale is kind of like owning a well loved historic home for a few days and having a house keeper, great guest service all in the middle of Downtown Spokane and all it has to offer and there is a lot. We've stayed here 3 times for 3-4 days in 2018 and look forward to returning.

  • Romantic Delight

We loved this place. It has a great location and it is easy to get to from the freeway. The hotel is a historic building that has been updated and it oozes ambience. The cost was a pleasant surprise. We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and we were complimented a bottle of wine which was a sweet gesture. We ate at WIld Sage two blocks away and had a great dinner. The hotel gave us coupons for a nearby breakfast place which I wouldn't bother with next time. The bed was comfortable although we are not fans of duvets as they are always too hot for us. The room is plenty big and so is the bathroom. We would stay here again without any hesitation!

  • Boutique Hotel

by DanaGoodnight on 2018-11-28 07:01 am

We only stayed at the Montvale for one night while visiting our daughter at Gonzaga University. We enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, especially the spacious and well appointed 2nd floor public space. There was a nice selection of tea and coffee at a station there, inviting someone to sit down and relax a few minutes before the day's activities. The room with its high ceilings had the feeling of a historic building and added to the hotel's overall ambience. The only drawback for us was breakfast. We were given vouchers for a place offering breakfast sandwiches down the street, but no specialty coffee. There are a range of cute coffee shops in the area and it would have been nice to have a few choices. But breakfast was not a deal breaker for us. We loved the overall character of the place and the friendly helpful staff.
