  • REVERSE DISCRIMINATION by the staff!!

    I live near the Partridge Inn. Go there once or twice a year for either Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas brunch. This hotel was acquired by Hilton in the last few years and has gone through management change. Management and ALL staff is EXCLUSIVELY African American now. How they're getting away with this is beyond me!! If it were reverse, there'd be discrimination lawsuits going on!! I haven't seen a single white, Asian, or Latino employee on the premises in the last couple years amongst the hundreds of employees that are walking around!! CLEARLY the head manager hires ONLY African Americans. And they weren't not the friendliest people either!! I felt very unwelcome from the get-go, was kept waiting while there were clearly empty tables open, had to wait 15 minutes to get a waiter to come to our table, then waited almost 30 minutes to get drinks delivered, I had to keep reminding the waiter for refills which constantly took 10 minutes, never had a single employee smile or talk to us, and had to wait 15 minutes on the check to be delivered after I asked for it. The ONLY time the waiter was right there at our table was when I was signing the receipt. He basically was hanging over my head waiting for his tip. Needless to say, I didn't leave him much and I WON'T be back!! This after 18 years of coming there!!

  • Historic hotel

    I stay here a few times a month when I am in town for work, it's a convenient location and easy to get in and out of. The staff at the front desk are always helpful and ready to take care of you. As a Hilton diamond member after 20+ stays I have never been upgraded even on slow nights so don't expect that at this property.

    The rooms are clean but you must remember this is a Historic hotel so the rooms have amazing character but are NOT cookie cutter. Your shower may be 2x2 or much larger and each room seems to have its own water heater so hot water does not last long.

    My one large frustration is with the restaurant, I have went in a couple times around 11am and asked for a table to work at for a couple hours while I have lunch, the staff are ALWAYS upset that I am taking a table for a couple hours even when the restaurant is empty. I always tell them that I will be happy to leave if they need the table but that never happens. They always call a manger and stand in the corner pointing at me and upset.

    In summary this is a nice property but remember it is old and therefore has some flaws. The hotel staff are always great but they need to work on how they ensure Hilton members who use digital check in still receive the benefits they are due. In the restaurant work with employees on taking care of the guest, don't get upset if they want something that is inconvenient to you.

    I will continue to stay here on and off when I visit Augusta but would stay more often if some small issues were addressed.

  • Great historic hotel

    Stayed here for the Masters. Great vibe throughout the entire stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the accommodations were excellent. The room was large and clean. I'm sorry to see that another guest was so inappropriately bold to blame this establishment for the Masters shuttle and give a 1 star rating for their entire stay. There was an accident which brought all transportation to a halt. Too bad that one persons poor planning can hurt a business that relies on valid ratings!

  • Major Problems

    Shuttle service drop off to Masters is terrible(long walk caused my wife to need emergency dextrose fom Augusta National golf clinic and never made it to golf grounds. If they told us about drop off we would have driven

  • A stay in the past with a view

    This Hotel has history, great view from the roof top bar, great food at the on site restaurant. Our room had a balcony with a nice view too. Plenty to do with in 10 mins. August canal brought jobs to this area a long time ago.
