    Check-in was smooth. Nice staff. Rooms are nice and cute (a little tiny on space, but ok). The style and ambiance of the hotel was cohesive and different from what we usually do on NYC, so it was a pleasant change. All in all, a pleasant experience.

  • Iâd like to explain of the Facility Fee thatâs charged on check out

    My husband and I visited New York for the first time and stayed at Hotel Redbury from August 30-September 3.
    We arrived at the Hotel Redbury between 12:00-12:30 and advised the front desk we were early however could we please store our luggage until our room was ready. The
    male staff member said we must go through a pre check in procedure where he took our credit card details. He then advised that our room would more than likely be ready around 1pm. If not definitely by 3pm. At this time there was no mention or information given re the Hotel charging a facility fee.
    We went to Marta's ( the restaurant at The Redbury) which I must tell you is excellent - food, service. It's just wonderful. We dined there twice.
    We asked was the room ready after lunch and we were told no so we went exploring and didn't get back to the Hotel well after 5pm and there was a new female staff member on who was quite haughty and insisted on the luggage tag however the lovely porter remembered who we were and assisted us to retrieve our luggage out of the storage room. Again on this check in, we weren't advised or reminded as to a facility fee and what we would be entitled to.
    It was only on check out that we were presented with a bill for 4 days x $34.42 for a facility fee that gave us 2 bottles of water that were on the bedside table on check in and they quote high speed internet however this is all unsecured so be very careful and don't use it for data you want to keep secure.
    At check out we were in a hurry to catch a train; I did ask why the charge and I was told it is for water & coffee. I have since emailed the Hotel and this is the reply I received
    ******The facility fee is a mandatory fee to all of our guests. The fee is $30.00 per day, plus applicable taxes for a total of $34.42 and includes the following:
    o High-speed Wi-Fi access throughout the entire hotel
    o Digital access to The New York Times and The Financial Times
    o Daily drip coffee service from 6:30am-10:30am in Caf? Marchio
    o Two bottles of water per room per day
    o Daily passes to New York Sports Club
    o Evening turndown service upon request
    o Printing, faxing, copy and notary services upon request
    oItinerary planning and travel reservation assistance
    o Unlimited local and toll-free calls
    o Map of New York City

    The facility fee is explained on The Redbury and third party websites in detail. If you look at your confirmation email it will also mention the fee as well
    I hope this helps when planning your trip to NYC and if staying at The Redbury make sure you get you money's worth of the above.
    I'd like to have been reminded by front desk staff of what I was paying for daily. Can I say that the bed was comfy and the pillows too. There is lots of construction around the area and The Redbury itself is refurbishing too. A lounge/bar area it seems.
    Also The Hotel Concierge recommended a Gray Line Hop On Hop Off 72hour + 5 attractions for my husband that cost $358.00. The attractions were great Guggenheim, The Met, 9/11 and Top of the Rock. The hop on/hop off bus was so busy they drove past us and they stop the run at 5pm leaving you stranded in Times Square. This happened with the night time tour also. Another company goes through to 9pm
    Be aware of this too please. Hope this helps you plan your stay in NYC

    We're disappointed your time with us was less than ideal. It's unfortunate you didn't notice all fees associated with your booking. Our facilities fee allows us to offer additional amenities for all of our guests. The information regarding our facilities fee is readily available on our website.

  • Macyâs parade.visit

    This was brilliant only 10 mins walk to Macy's staff at hotel great very welcoming 5 mins to madison square gardens weather wasn't to good minus 11 but really enjoyed it and the hotel was terrific would advise anybody to go there plus a nice little bar next door with some great food and music

  • We were well looked after

    We enjoyed our stay in this hotel - it's clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and attentive. There are some renovations being carried out on the ground floor - but the impact of this is very minor and they had done a good job of making sure it wasn't a nuisance. The hotel cafe serves good coffee - the hotel bar was friendly and welcoming. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it was obviously busy and the food looked good - we had a drink in the bar there and the staff looked after us very well.
    The hotel has a policy of including tips into bar / restaurant prices which is a practice to be applauded and supported. The staff made sure they pointed this out to us - the service was top notch and you could consider staying here just to support this policy.

  • Adorable Hotel

    The Redbury is an adorable hotel with a lot of history behind it (you should ask!). The rooms are decorated in a cute fashion and are perfect for a couple or for friends. The cafe downstairs is so photogenic and has some tasty treats. Location is great!!
