Offering an unmatched variety of activities for leisure travelers, conference attendees, or families traveling with children, The Sagamore Resort is the ideal vacation destination. Active pursuits include tennis, a full complement of waterfront activities, and a fitness center complete with state-of-the-art equipment and daily exercise classes.

The Sagamore Resort’s Donald Ross Golf Course
Honored by Golf Magazine as one of its Silver Medal Resorts, this beautiful hillside course overlooks Lake George and was designed and built under Donald Ross's personal supervision in 1928. As part of a $75 million restoration in 1985, the legendary course was fully restored according to Ross's original blueprints.

In classic Ross fashion, The Sagamore Resort's golf course uses the natural environment to give each hole its challenge and beauty. The holes are routed naturally through an upland meadow and the Adirondack woods, where white birches enliven the evergreen forest. To add an accent to the rolling mountainside terrain, Ross planted heather from his own native Scotland within the meadow. Lush fairways are narrow and lined with hardwoods, while deep bunkers surround undulating greens. From the elevated first tee, you have a breathtaking view of Lake George and the Adirondack peaks.

The Rec
Situated in the center of the resort, The Rec offers something for all ages. From ping pong and video games to indoor mini golf and classic home run derby, it is fun for the entire family. Covered with over 10,000 square feet of indoor entertainment, it includes mini golf, wiffle ball, Nintendo Wii and X-Box stations, board games, indoor basketball, and popular table games such as billiards, foosball, and ping pong. The Rec is surrounded with a half-court basketball area, playground, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and 5 outdoor tennis courts including 2 with Har-Tru surfaces.

The Sagamore Resort Kids Club
Offering engaging and fun activities for children, The Sagamore Resort Kids Club takes advantage of all that The Rec has to offer with planned games, crafts, sports, education, and crafts. Sports include basketball, volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoes, wiffle ball, and mini golf. Educational seminars are instructional segments that may include astrology, mythology, Adirondack wildlife, and dining etiquette. Activities are educational team building exercises such as scavenger hunts, nature walks, and interactive children’s variety shows. Crafts at the SKC include a large variety of creative projects including tee shirt making, bird feeders, and other projects where children can take something home from their vacation.
