  • Dont set your expectations too high

    by Voyager39572954911 on 2019-06-17 09:50 pm

Beautiful hotel lobby and friendly valet. The rooftop pool bar attracts all kinds of people and the line to get to the roof is out the door of the lobby. Getting to the valet at night to park is aweful because urber and Lyft lines block the only parking entrance which is valet. By 11:30pm the lobby had numerous drunk people passed out on the hotel furniture and at least 1 drunk girl crying in a corner. My room was much smaller than I had hoped even after paying extra for a room with a pool view. The interror glass door to the bathroom was broken off so instead of replacing it, it was just missing all together. There was no trashcan in the bathroom. Room service wasnt taking late orders so I opened a snack that was offered in the room and after thinking it tasted funny, I looked at the expiration date to find it had expired. Late check out was already maxed out when I called at 9am the morning of check out. I'll stay at the omni off Lamar next time.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us, but more importantly offering your experience as feedback. It is disappointing to see the miss in execution and service that you received while staying with us on your visit, however, we will use your feedback as an opportunity to grow and continue to strive to provide a great guest experience. Having a great, lively rooftop pool and bar does attract both hotel guests and locals alike. In fact, one of the great things we here is how it is a destination point for both groups of people and sets us apart from other hotels in the area. We would love for you to have an opportunity to experience a better room visit with us and would welcome the opportunity to earn back your trust in traveling. When you come back to the area, we hope that you would consider giving us an opportunity to earn back your trust. If you do, please reach out to me and allow me to assist in your reservation process, I can be reached at ryan.miyamoto@thestatlerdallas.com. Thank you again and we hope to hear from you.

  • The Statler Hilton - a comfortable and wonderfully funky vibe!

Our stay was an unexpected venture due to power outages across the Dallas in early June. This unexpected stay was excellent, the food great and the beds super comfortable. We'll definitely return for a weekend stay-cation and will recommend it to all our out of town friends.

  • Not worth the price

    by Explorer14909060686 on 2019-06-14 01:10 pm

My room was not ready when I checked in at 3:15 pm. Desk clerk promised to call me when it was ready, but she didn't. Temperature in lobby was uncomfortably warm. There are no electrical outlets near the couches and chairs in the lobby. Next day, my room was still not cleaned at 3:30 pm. There is no gift shop/mini store and no clock radio in the room. However, rooms are nice, modern, and large. Lobby is attractive. Food at the breakfast and lunch restaurant was good.

  • So amazingly modern!

    by Klauds1105 on 2019-06-10 11:18 am

So I stayed here about a week ago and I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. First of all, it is GORGEOUS. I stayed in a VIP Suite and it was spacious, as it had a living room area for entertaining. It was perfect for me--As I hate doing work in a bed when I am in a hotel. It came with not only an iPad in the room, but also a Nespresso machine--AMAZING! Not only all of that, but once I was in bed, I could turn the lights off in any room of the suite--Which is perfect since I could not go to bed with unnecessary lights in other rooms being on. The blinds also close by themselves. I felt like a queen! I will definitely stay at this hotel anytime I return to Dallas. The staff was attentive and I even had a chance to go to their rooftop pool, which was so peaceful and calming. I love this hotel!

  • Really Rowdy

    by common s on 2019-06-07 05:42 am

Simply put, the hotel itself is gorgeous. The rooms are immaculate, however the valet parking situation is another thing. If you are driving, it is almost impossible to pull up to the entrance to check in and/or drop your guest off because of all the cars parked in front of the NARROW lane that leads up to the entrance due to valet parking and people who aren't guest pulling up to the door and camping out.

The hotel also allows patrons who are not guest at the hotel to utilize the pool and the club which brings an enormous amount of foot traffic to the hotel. The crowd is loud and rowdy and it seems the hotel caters to the visitors more than they do actual paying customers. If you're looking for a quite nice place to stay, this isn't it. This appears to be a nightlife/ summer hangout for the drunk and young crowd.

    Common S,

Thank you for letting us know about your experience here at the Statler Dallas. It's always great to hear what our guests have to think. We are glad you enjoyed the hotel and the rooms, we put a lot of thought and effort into revitalizing a historic icon in Dallas. We understand the frustrations we experienced with valet and we are close to having a solution to help with the traffic. We will soon have use of a large parking garage located one block away that will provide our hotel guests the option of self parking or valet. We do appreciate you allowing us to take care of you and hope to have you back with us as a guest in the future.
