Exceptionally friendly staff, nice architecture, great location for museums and Little Italy. Parking fees a bit expensive, could use more coffee packets for in room. Better map of Cleveland roads and attractions would be helpful as opposed to the segmented map by area that was hard to understand

  • Great service

We stayed in the Tudor Arms because it seemed interesting. The building has a history to it which may have been embellished by the establishment, but maybe it's all true. The building is lovely and well-maintained. The bed was fantastic. Breakfast is not free but not expensive either.

    We'll go back!

  • Historic hotel, inconsistently renovated, tiny bathrooms, best beds and bedding, quiet w. great food!

by Bloomington on 2018-09-16 010:10 pm

Historic 30's era grand hotel is walking distance from the Cleveland Clinic, urban location... near parks and museums also! Valet parking, 20$ a night, very reliable staff. Extreme shortage of luggage carts at check-out! One per floor or less? Easy check-in, polite staff, willing to help. Parts of hotel-- renovated but inconsistently. Hall plans-- convoluted, hot halls, slow elevators but they work well.
The bathrooms are a big detractor--tiny, barely room to turn around in! Showers make a wet mess, no matter how careful you are, as the door covers half the shower only! Old plaster walls with quarter-round baseboards... wet and decaying...because of bad design--re-do. Floor is anti-skid, nubbed, not cleanable, so germ-freaks will not be happy, as they are not vacuum-able nor mopped, it would appear. Ick factor in shower and getting out! Bathroom sink- a disaster! Contemporary bowl above small pedestal-inconvenient- messy!! Faucet located under narrow glass shelf, no sink strainer, so never apply earrings over sink!!! No vanity, horrible lighting, impossible to apply make-up over sink in led light and another narrow glass shelf above toilet!!! You cannot turn around/bend over, without bumping into the door, it is that small! Room was spacious but wooden floor not swept at all during stay and floor uneven-buckling-- so I had to watch my step not to trip! No fridge in room, first 24 hours. Large LG TV, good selection. BEST, most luxurious hotel bed and bedding EVER with comfy mattress topper!!! So if you value your sleep and can live with a bad bath, go for it! Coffee maker, 1 cup at a time, only. If you are trying to get ready for a special occasion, you will be challenged!!! Horrible lighting! I may have had the worst room- -with obstructed view-- an electrical large cement room on roof of 6th floor with huge electrical cables right outside window. No skyline view in this room. I wasn't there to look out the window, so it didn't matter too much. Now, I understand why they offer room upgrades.
Safe is located in light-less closet, no light to read instructions for code... tiny print... so bring a flashlight!!! Same for hotel phone... TINY print, faded...you can't read this dated, pale print!!!
Excellent breakfast buffet selection: eggs, potato, sausage, bacon, french toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, milk, etc. Helpful, polite, competent staff throughout! Food is excellent!!!!

  • Great location, Shuttle service free, prompt, curteous

by fenmen on 2018-09-15 07:42 am

The rooms are huge and well appointed. The pillows are down, and scrunchable. The floors are wood so no need to step on carpets that feel funky. Terrific location and the free shuttle service is excellent, we never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful. Note this is an older hotel so some of it shows a little wear but when our first room had a leaky air conditioner, the staff immediately apologized and put us in another. The only thing missing was a bathtub but we'll definitely stay here if we come back to Cleveland

  • Pleasant Weekend Stay

Stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a wedding (which was also at the hotel). Staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms were clean and spacious and it was quiet. The hotel is a bit removed from downtown Cleveland, but wasn't an issue for us as we had access to a car.
