  • Great historical place

    by Rebecca H on 2018-09-19 01:25 pm

We saw this building as we were walking down the street the patio area looked interesting so we walked into the lobby and were absolutely amazed. This hotel used to be a train station and fortunately they saved much of its charm and architecture. We learned that there was a 1 o'clock tour around the lobby And our guide provided us with lots of interesting information as well as old photos when it was a train station. We ended the tour with sampling of Jack Daniels whiskey which is a nice little surprise. I would definitely recommend this as a nice little offshoot from all the hectic crowded activities on Broadway

This beautiful train station hotel is very cool. Our visit was made even more memorable with excellent advice and input from Chris at the front desk. He listened to our questions and comments and guided us appropriately. Thank you?

Just saw that there were some horrible reviews of this hotel. Not sure why. Maybe I had a different type of room and experience in general.
I am a traveler. Suitcase warrior. And this hotel made me stop and look. It is in an old train station and the architecture is amazing. The lobby is beautiful. You need to take it in when you arrive. And let's talk about arrival. The outside is just a gem to look at. Interesting lines, architecture. It looks NOTHING like a hotel. Maybe that's why I like it so much? I was give a good room. Upgraded one. The lobby is above a few of the rooms. I would suggest upgrading a bit or getting a room above the lobby if possible. But all of the rooms are nicely appointed. They just vary greatly in size because this is a historic hotel and was once a train station. No cookie cutting here. I ate an excellent breakfast both mornings. Never made it to the bar at night but it would have been nice to sit there and have a drink because you could just look at the train station surrounding you. Be prepared for big or small room. If you don't want a small one, my guess is that you need to be a Platinum with Marriott and / or buy an upgrade. Otherwise work to be content in a smaller room in a historical, well preserved gem.

  • Stunning property, amazing service

You will not be disappointed, if you choose to stay here. The decor is stunning, upscale, but comfortable. The location is fantastic for all Nashville has to offer. Within walking distance to the honkey tonks and live music. Short Uber ride to the Gulch, a wonderful place to shop, dine or people watch. The service was extraordinary and this includes the Carters. We will be returning to stay here!
