    Wow! Wonderful visit. The beauty and elegance of the hotel was only exceeded by the courteous, attentive, and friendly staff. The Rockefeller Dining Room was superb. You can walk across the street to historic Colonial Williamsburg. They offer free shuttle service anywhere you need. Don't miss this hotel for your Williamsburg trip.

    The Williamsburg Inn is truly deserving it 5 star Forbes rating. From staff to facilities and service they are tops. One receives top value while a guest at this beautiful hotel. Charles, Adrian and Michael Harper became friends who really take care of their guests. The room was beautiful, well equipped and so comfortable.

    This is a fantastic Hotel that is elegant , stylish and refined. It is well worth the money. The rooms, grounds and staff were all first rate as was dinner in the Rockefeller room! This is the Pmace to stay in Williamsburg.

  • Breaking my heart!

    I have been visiting Williamsburg for over 20 years. I look forward to stopping by the intimate little bar at the Williamsburg Inn and having the perfect Mint Julep. I stopped by today and had a sub-par Mint Julep. Upon commenting that this drink should have crused ice, I was told to maintain their 5 star rating, they cannot use crushed ice in any drink. That just broke my heart. I won't be back.

    We apologize that your mint julip was made incorrectly. The information you received from the bartender is absolutely incorrect. A great Mint Julip MUST be made with crushed ice and served (ideally in a sterling silver cup) with fresh mint crushed with passion rather than aggression. This team member has confused our standard for using superior quality ice with making a traditional drink in the prescribed way. Her response should have been an immediate apology for making the drink incorrectly and remaking the drink as prescribed. We are sorry that you have chosen to not return due to this misunderstanding and hope you will reconsider based on our passion for pleasing our guests as we always strive to do. There may be other concerns that may be easily explained, We welcome any other feedback as it is one of the keys to making us better.

  • Great Inn even though....

    I'm feeling a little second class in a first class hotel.
    We stayed the weekend in this absolutely BEAUTIFUL hotel in the center of historical Williamsburg. The hotel decor and grounds are perfect! We didn't eat lunch or dinner there but we did have breakfast both mornings which was a bit of a disappointment. Not very favorable...How do you mess up yogurt and granola? Another issue is that they took the sound off the Fox news channel. It's very disappointing when businesses get political. We paid A LOT for this hotel and we should receive ALL amenities. I talked to other guests that have stayed at both the Inn and the Lodge and they said they didn't have the sound either which verified my suspicions. I also did some research and found out from a very reliable source that Williamsburg owns the Hotel and the Lodge and the CEO who is a "never Trumper" cut the sound by design. I feel robbed as I love to drink my coffee and watch the news in the morning. It's too bad that they see themselves superior to half of America. I really feel horrible that I have to state this in my review but it's so disappointing and really needs to stop. EVERYONE no matter their political views should be welcome with ALL amenities.
    Staff was nice and I enjoyed my stay!
    I'm giving it a 4 star based on the food not the political issue as I am above that. However, I do feel that people should know about this before they spend enormous amounts of money.
    Tip: We pushed the cc button and was able to read it.

    Let me begin by apologizing that you were unable to access all of the television stations as you should have. Upon receiving your review, I immediately went to several random guest rooms to test that the Fox News channel was able to be heard. On all of the rooms that I tested, I was able to hear the channel. I also checked with our maintenance team as well as other leaders on the team to make sure that I was correct that all of our channels are received directly through our local cable provider and are not modified.
    I would very much like the opportunity to speak with you directly if possible so that I can apologize to you personally as well as to get the room number that you stayed in so that I can check that room's television as well to try determine the source of the issue.
