• Discover this stunning historic plantation that is the South’s largest remaining antebellum mansion. Completed in 1859 and commissioned by prestigious sugar planter John Hampden Randolph, the mansion’s spectacular white columns and grand balconies overlook beautiful oak-draped lawns.

• Marvel at the stunning Greek Revival and Italianate architectural style of the mansion, designed by renowned New Orleans architect, Henry Howard. The opulent mansion was intended to be a showplace of John Hampden Randolph’s wealth, which is evident in all of its extravagant and innovative features. Randolph is said to have destroyed Howard’s plans after completion so that no replicate homes could be built.

• Walk the expansive plantation grounds that include a beautiful formal hedge garden, 200-year-old oak trees, and a fountain courtyard that is perfect for a quiet moment of reflection. The mansion sits just 200 feet behind a river levee and is just a short walk from the mighty Mississippi River.
