• Walk, bike, or cross-country ski along the Bedford Heritage Trail. It is a picturesque 2.65 mile trail that begins at the resort and ends at Fort Bedford Park in downtown Bedford, with its historic architecture, museums, monuments, and wining-and-dining opportunities. Peruse the shops of downtown Bedford, where there are many unique finds.

• Experience a covered bridges tour. Bedford County is well known for its 14 covered bridges, such as the Bowser Covered Bridge, Snook's Covered Bridge, and the Hewitt Covered Bridge. Built approximately 100 years ago by craftsmen who worked almost entirely by hand, these structures withstand the rain, snow, and hard use of the traveling public.

• Take a horse and buggy ride while experiencing Old Bedford Village. Just eight miles from Omni Bedford Springs Resort, visit Old Bedford Village, an open-air museum and archaeological site which offers guests an opportunity to go back in time, all the way to the 18th century. With 36 period-appropriate workshops, log cabins, period-clothed craftsmen and women, and numerous other activities, this local attraction is a perfect fit for a visitor of any age.
