• Indulge in XIX (NINETEEN)’s modern version of chicken à la King. The dish, consisting of chicken, mushrooms, truffles, sweet peppers and cream, is credited to William “Bill” King, a former cook at The Bellevue Hotel. Look up to count the 2,848 pearl-shaped facets in its Italian handcrafted chandelier. Inspired by the original oyster bar of the restaurant, this unmistakable design element represents the space's former clientele: women draped in pearls.

• Taste a Clover Club cocktail and sink into a leather booth in XIX (NINETEEN) Lounge. The drink, named after the men’s social club that met at the hotel, pre-dates Prohibition in the United States. The hotel’s proprietor, George C. Boldt, named his daughter Louise Clover Boldt after the club.

• Delight in a break from the busy streets and relish the century-old tradition of afternoon tea. On the ground level of The Bellevue Hotel once resided The Viennese Tea-Room, a project of Louise Kehrer Boldt’s. When she and George Boldt became husband and wife, she started the tradition to provide for the comfort of female guests. These days, all guests can enjoy afternoon tea in XIX (NINETEEN) Cameo Room on weekends.
