  • Bad dinning employees

    We walked into the pizza bar, and even tho there were 5 employees we sat there for 20min just watching them stand there and talk without helping us. It's not that they didn't know rice us because they looked at us many of times. I had to walk up to the bar and ask if there was something I needed to do to place an order and a gentleman said, you can sit anywhere and a server will be with you. So I sat back down and me and my girlfriend waited another 25min to talk to any one else. The restaurant was not busy there was only 4 other guest in there. Finally our waiter came out and brought us the menu, he asked for our order as soon as he gave it to us and seemed annoyed that we didn't know. We didn't see him again for another 30min... I went back up to the bar and asked if I could order food and then the guy finally came back out. The food was amazing, top of the line, but the waiter never checked on us, never gave us refills and took an extra 30min from the time we finished eating to bring us a check. Dinner alone took us close to 3 hours... even tho we only took 30min of that to eat. Breakfast the next day wasn't too much different, it tasted amazing! The waiter on the other hand just seemed like he neglected all of his tables. The two tables around us were complaining about how he didn't fill up there drinks all the way and how he never come back. They were right, he charged us for coffe, even tho he only filled out cups up 1/3 of the way. I had to get up to track him down to ask for milk and he told me one glass would cost $4. When I received the glass it was the smallest thing I have ever seen. Not only that but he again only filled it up 1/2 way. I never say the waiter again. We waited around 30min after our meal to pay our check, the table beside us said they had been waiting for close to 40min already for the waiter to come back and no luck. We finally just left cash on the table and went on our way. Even tho the hotel was awesome and gorgeous, the dinning service was very very poor and it made me feel like I was a burden to the employees. I was nothing but extreamly kind and Curtious to them even tho me and my girlfriend were really upset and very disappointed. It definitely put a damper on our stay.

    Staying at The Crescent is part of the Eureka Springs experience. Great service, great food. Take the ghost tour while you're there! The back porch is great for relaxing and the pool is inviting. The shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go.

    Historic Hotel in remote area of Arkansas. Needs lots of updates, but very comfortable and welcoming. Love to see old properties like this still working hard and continuing to compete. Kudos to the owner and management for staying in the fight!

    Overall it was a very good experience. The bed was very comfortable...took a long time to get our food in the Sky Bar, but it comes all the way from the dinning room kitchen. One ghost tour guide(female) was a little rude, but sure she did not mean to be...I would recommend this hotel for a great relaxing, hospitable stay.

    I would definitely go back! This hotel was a GEM and the staff was excellent. We also booked massages with the spa and it was the best! Skybar was a great place to hang out and had fantastic food and drinks!
