First time here for a 4 day get away. Our room could have been cleaner...found someones dirty clothing in the dresser drawer and it was very dusty. That being said our bed was very comfortable and we had a king room on back of hotel on the 3rd floor. Spent every evening in our rocking chairs on the shared veranda beautiful view. We were beyond pleased to find out that our included breakfast was served in the gorgeous dinning room and was a FULL breakfast with omelet station, fresh waffles, ample fruit.Shout out to the gentleman making the omelets for his delicious green chili. Also the shuttle and door to door service to town was amazing. Staff friendly and informative. No ghost sightings but could easily imagine a time gone by. Warning you may find other guests sitting right outside your room in the rocking chairs and we several times opened our door to find them there directly outside our door. They were happy to move on. Last thing the church bells were lovely.
My love for the Crescent Hotel has little to do with the service you receive while staying there. We spent the weekend in one of the suites, room 3500. I love the history of the hotel and have wanted to stay there for a very long time. I would still recommend anyone to stay there for the experience but don't expect a high quality of customer service.
Cottage did not meet my expectations. The shared entry was locked. Had to go on a long downhill windy stairs made from rocks and railroad ties. Slipped and fell. Particularly slippery because of rain. Dishes were in dishwasher when I arrived and some were dirty. Remote didn't work in one bedroom. The cottage was very clean and had plenty of coffee. No ice maker in fridge. I've stayed in the closet top cottage before and it was above average so my expectations were not met. Definitely not for elderly or disabled. The staff wasn't helpful with the problems I had.
Most amazing stay. Staff went above and beyond. There we always there when we needed them. The ghost tour is fun with great history of the hotel with a few ghost stories too. I would definitely suggest this Hotel and plan to stay again.
Our stay was amazing at the Crescent Hotel. The staff went above and beyond in their service. It was easy to book online, check in and check out. We actually got a free upgrade. We booked a double queen but it was in the front so he suggested for the best view to get a room on the backside of the hotel and boy was he right. We had a quaint balcony with rocking chairs and the most amazing view. The rooms are done in Victorian decor with some modern amenities, including fridge, coffee pot, and tv. The ghost tour was fun and full of history about the hotel with a few ghost stories too. Breakfast was very good, be sure to have an made to order omelet from the buffet, beyond amazing. The pizza is very good and has the typical and unique kinds. The staff in the pizza place were extremely helpful. I use a cane to walk and ended up with a bit of a problem. My cane fell four stories off the balcony. No one was hurt. I went to go retrieve it but before I could take two steps an employee was there reassuring me and then going and retrieving my cane. The cane ended up just having a small dent in it and worked just fine. I can't thank that employee enough. They have great packages for everyone, no matter how you would like to stay. This was the most amazing stay ever. I definitely recommend this Hotel and will be back to stay again.
