Discover the exceptional Ron Kirby designed inland links golf experience at Castlemartyr Resort, nestled within the beautiful East Cork countryside.

The Castlemartyr Golf Course is an impressive 6,728-yard, par 72, 18-hole course created by renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby, whose credentials were honed on such Irish masterpieces as the Old Head, and Mount Juliet, as well as Gleneagles in Scotland. Mr. Kirby developed an inland links style course that creates a visually pleasing yet testing experience. The course is designed to be challenging and pleasurable for players of any caliber. Castlemartyr Golf Club provides first class service across all aspects of the golf spectrum, from the course, to the Club House and Pro Shop.

PGA qualified professionals are available for private lessons with reservation.

Activities

  • Cycling: Enjoy fresh air, spring scents and the sounds of birds with a bike ride through the grounds of Castlemartyr Resort. Vintage-style bikes are available to enjoy at reception, with no prior booking necessary.
  • Tennis courts: All guests are welcome to enjoy a game or two on at the tennis courts on a complimentary basis. The tennis courts are floodlit for year-round enjoyment. Access is subject to availability; inquire with the Health Club reception.
  • Garden Games: Be lured by a game of garden activities on Mitchell’s Lawn in the warm summer months. Guests can test their skill and accuracy by taking part in a range of games including Giant Jenga, Giant Chess, Connect 4, Disc Golf or Croquet!
  • Clay Pigeon shooting and Archery: For our guests who wish to experience more adventure on the Resort, archery or laser clay pigeon shooting on the grounds can be reserved. Included, guests will receive: Qualified instructor, Left and right bows available, Minimum of 6 people per archery booking, Minimum of 5 people per clay pigeon shooting
