2022 Historic Hotels of America Awards of Excellence Nominee Finalist
The building that houses the Blue Moon Hotel dates back to the 1870s, when it was originally a tenement building to accommodate the growing population of immigrants to New York City. It served as housing for New Yorkers up until the 1990s, when it was purchased by artist and entrepreneur Randy Settenbrino who carefully transformed the building into the Blue Moon Hotel, allowing for modern comfort while still preserving the historic elements of the building.

The Blue Moon Hotel continues to pay homage to the neighborhood’s rich past, while also providing upscale luxury services to throngs of enthusiastic visitors. The guestrooms are comfortable and decorated in a modern style, and many of them include a balcony. The location in the Lower East Side of Manhattan makes it the perfect respite for anyone who wants to explore the best of what New York City has to offer.
