From Oslo: The drive from Oslo to Dalen Hotel takes about 3 hours and 15 minutes. Take E18 to Drammen, Kongsberg, and then to E134 toward Notodden, past Seljord to Høydalsmo. Take Highway 45 to valley/Suleskar from Høydalsmo.
From Stavanger: In the summer months (May to October), travel over Suleskar and Valle Skafså towards the valley. This road is an experience in itself with striking scenery.
From Haugesund/Bergen/Odda: Follow E134 over Haukelifjell to Åmot, and then travel down to the valley by Åmot.
From the south coast of Norway: Travelers coming from the south coast can use either the road to Valle Setesdal, or take E18 to Fjansvigen between Arendal and Tvedestrand, passing Amli/Vradal Skafsa, on the way into the valley. The trip is approximately 45 minutes from Vradal.
