    Fantastic Stay ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Stayed at the weekend with family and friends and we all had a fantastic stay in what are clearly challenging and uncertain times for the business and the hotel team. Couldn't fault the service and team engagement, F&B offering was excellent and they struck the perfect balance between unobtrusive guidance and directions around social distancing etc. Will definitely be back soon ... well done ?

Having looked at several 4 & 5 star hotels locally. we settled on Dunblane Hydro due to reviews and hotel and room images. How very disappointing. On looks.impressive beautiful building with impressive gardens. However when entering what can only be described as a very dated and shabby room the shine suddenly vanished. After complaining to reception staff we were given a different room (don't known if it was to prove a point or not but next room worse than the one before. Asked for an additional chair so myself and my husband could sit and have a drink and chat and was horrified to find that staff had left and old dirty desk chair outside or room.without even telling us. Only redeeming factor for this disappointing visit was the superb food that is served there. Will definately not be returning back.

We stayed for 1 night but I'm glad it wasn't for longer! There is nothing wrong with the hotel, it's just very tired and could do with a freshen up.
The rooms are dated and quite small. Staff are friendly and the service in the bar was good but again, the rooms let the hotel down.
With regards to Covid 19, the hotel have put all precautionary measures in place...hand sanitiser throughout the hotel, table service, extra cleaning and staff wearing appropriate PPE.
We had a nice stay but i wouldn't return.

During these uncertain times we took a leap of faith to book, however all our worries faded away upon arrival. The hotel had put excellent health & safety measures in place which made us feel very safe. On arrival the receptionist explained we needed to book for dinner and breakfast, this again was reassuring, it prevented these areas from being to busy. The bedroom and public areas were spotless. Breakfast was a great start to the day. Dinner each night was of a very high standard. The staff were friendly and extremely attentive. we will certainly re - visit"

It was pretty empty but you still get put in the bland corporate rooms in the annexe - why not put us in the more characterful rooms, then we would be more likely to come back and rave about the place. The room was standard, v clean but unremarkable (no sockets or USB either side of the bed).
Lots of appropriate Covid precautions, plenty hand sanitiser and v friendly staff.
Cocktails in the bar great ?7.95 not too bad.
Breakfast was nice apart from the orange juice had clearly been watered down several times it was like the weakest orange squash you could make without it becoming totally transparent. Continental choices were good no cheese or ham but good apart from that. Really good cooked breakfast choices.
We paid ?150 for the night including breakfast and dinner in the Kailyard.
