Themed parties were a regular occurrence at the building, including dozens of fancy balls, concerts, and other social occasions that attracted guests from throughout the world. The Fairmont Le Montreux Hotel has even been recognized for its historical significance by the Swiss Inventory of Cultural Property. Fairmont Le Montreux Hotel resides along the shoreline of Lake Geneva in the community of Montreux. Situated on the outskirts of the Swiss Riviera, Montreux itself is a beautifully rustic destination. Skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities are nearby this historic city. Guests can taste the spectacular Swiss wines at the Vineyards of Lavaux—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—or take in the exhibits of the Charlie Chaplin Museum.
